Wasn't sure about this one as I'm a big fan of the webtoon but, with the first episode at least, they have done the webtoon justice. A very enjoyable first episode. Looking forward to seeing how it develops.

No. They just like to pretend everything is "racist" so they can feel better about themselves and their pathetic little lives. Annoying AF.

Here we go. Another snowflake "triggered" by a throwaway comment. Pathetic. And what the hell is it with the left? All they do is throw the term "racist" around towards anything or anyone they disagree with, to the point that racist now means nothing.

I'm not a gigantic fan of romance dramas, but I enjoyed the first episode of this.

Jo Bo Ah is the reason I'll be fast forwarding through much of this apparently. The woman simply cannot act, and ruins every scene she's in. :(

I dropped it because of Jo Bo Ah, she ruins everything she is in (She's a terrible actress, so nothing to do with the scripts unfortunately for her).

(She was the only weak link in Tale of the Nine-Tailed, but thankfully only showed up right at the end of its sequel 1938). Pissed off she's been cast in the upcoming Hong Rang. Was 'all in' for the rest of the superb cast then she was named in it, which means I'll be fast forwarding through many scenes apparently. :(

Yes, and it gets better with every episode. Ep 1 and 2 were a little weak, IMO, but it started to become more fun and more interesting from Ep 3 onwards. I'm not a Rowoon fan at all, but even he is doing a good job in this.

So let's sanitize and change history because it makes you uncomfortable. Jesus, I'm so sick of the weak people growing up nowadays. "Ooh, oooh, it makes me "uncomfortable" so don't show that". Pathetic.

Don't understand the low rating for this. The show is cute, funny and the chemistry between the two leads is great. Look forward to every new episode.

Maybe don't bring your "woke" 2023 sensibilities to Korean history, and you'll probably go through life a bit better educated, right?

Season 2 starts in 2024. Hence the ending.

Rewatching this and let me tell you, it's even better on the second run thru from the first.

Dropped it this week. Tired of waiting a week for a new episode when there are better and more frequent dramas airing. It's been postponed too many times and the schedule is being dragged out, so it's now a chore to watch. Spending the time I was watching this rewatching Song of the Bandits on Netflix.

Writing is terrible, Jo Bo Ah can't act and plays the most annoying character, and Rowoon looks like his make-up was laid on with a trowel. Add in a cast of mainly unlikeable characters, and a stupid plot that went all over the place and, if you haven't started it yet, don't. I ended up watching the last episode after dropping it at Ep 6. Shouldn't have bothered. It was worse than the first 6 :)

This is SO damned good. Binge-watched all 9 episodes in 2 days, and getting ready to watch it again. One of best K-dramas of the year, IMO. Fabulous performances, amazing action scenes and stunts, and a fun script. Can't believe more people aren't watching this (although it has been in the Top 10 on Netflix since it premiered apparently).

Yeah I could be wrong too :) I just go off what I read elsewhere then see on MDL and they get so much wrong ;(

No, I dropped Under the Queen's Umbrella after the first episode as it didn't grab me, so I don't remember if he was in that episode or not (?). But I saw him in My Roomate is a Gumiho and Cheer Up. Didn't like him in either. Bland, young looking, an average actor, IMO, and not remotely how Kang Tae Ha is portrayed in the webtoon. May actually give the first episode of this a try tho as I just noticed Jin Kyung is in it and I love her! Maybe he'll surprise me???

He's also not a child, unlike the actor portraying him (25 looks like he's 18). It's an "avoid" for me sadly, as the webtoon is excellent, but this one is severely miscast.
