I’m not trying to start an argument or attack you, I’m just saying that you could have not added the last sentence and your comments would have been as good, if not better. You can still defend your favorite group without calling others haters. But if you don’t want to understand my point, you do what you want.
To the other people on this page: I hope that by reading this message, you would understand that users/reviewers can dislike things you like. That doesn’t make them haters. I dislike plenty of the things people like, and they dislike many of my favorites. Lately, the comment section has become inflammatory on MDL because users keep calling each other haters just for stating their opinions and then fights starts that could lead to one or both being banned. People started fearing the comment section and stopped leaving comments because of people coming at them for stating their opinions that doesn’t involve insulting users, but is an actual valid criticism/review of the show/ep. We should respect each other’s opinions and embrace our differences instead of creating discourse among ourselves.
I'm not sure who is doing it but please don't remove the cover of episode 14. Also, we squared the images so it appears fully. If we don't do that, the faces and text are cut out of the cover. For example, the man on the right side of episode 16's cover is completely cut out if we don't square it.

We don’t choose anything, it is not our fault. The admins developed the pages, staff members have different rules, and us, approval staff, only reject/approve submissions, we have no coding power. Blaming us, regular staff members, will not change anything, they should complain to the admins. Also, I am sure there is a reason the admins limited it to 12, maybe it slows down the main page significantly, but it would be nice for it not to have a limit. Either way, people can still use the search to see the recently release series, the main page is not the only place.
Also, the reason I replied here in the first was because someone was spreading false info that MDL is targeting Xiao Zhan’s dramas and removing them from the main page, etc, and people were submitting dates changes daily and wasting our time. i just wanted to explain the rules in case this users was one of the people who read those false conspiracy theories.

It is not a problem of guidelines as the only thing that involves guidelines and approval staff is the use of VIP dates, which is fair as lots of users on MDL don’t need subs and/or have VIP. If we use the regular non-VIP dates, those people will not be able to mark it as complete even if they finish watching the drama. They would have to wait for the non-VIP date, which is not a good thing in a database that is main purpose is to record your watch progress, not advertise dramas. Imagine not having Viki’s subscription and having to wait for the week’s episodes to be unlocked and then coming here and asking us to use that release date. The VIP dates are official dates, they are even marked in the schedule charts Chinese streaming websites release. There is no reason not to use them, as there are many advantages, and 0 disadvantages.
Also, even if it was marked it as complete, it should actually show up in the Shows Starting This Week and the Shows Ending This Week, but because of the limitation, it did not. Instead, it was in the Top airing for a few hours and the feed was spammed with the news for days.

Another scene was the students talking with the teacher about politics and it was also unnecessary long, like they were aiming to include every written word from the book. That is why I am saying that the Shows Starting This Week and Shows Ending This Week list on the main page should not be limited to 12 dramas only. I remember asking the admins to fix that limitation, but they did not get it. Maybe it slows down the main page or there are other issues we don’t know about. Or maybe they are busy and forgot about it.
My only issue is that some users see such messages and start sending release date edits saying this show should be using non-VIP dates because they want more exposure for it on the main page. They are wasting their time and our time.
I don’t mind you thinking it needs more exposure because not a lot of people know it aired, but I hope users reading this would not send us tons of submissions about the release date or spread conspiracy theories that we are blocking Xiao Zhan’s dramas from appearing on the main page.

I am not speaking about mdl being an official promoter... but if one thing appears on a page every day, this is a PUBLICITY too...” I am not sure about your region, it might have been the only drama licensed in your region and allowed on MDL. “watch the latest episodes” is not advertisement, it was a partnership with certain streaming websites and the admins were testing it. King's Avatar showed up for a long time on your end because that was the only thing you could watch in your region, while the list was regularly being update with new shows for other regions. The “watch the latest episodes” doesn’t even show up on my end cause nothing is available in my region. Also, where is this “ featured....” section? You mean the YouTube link to MDL’s channel? That is just like the articles, videos uploaded by MDL’s YouTube channel.
Users will know about it if they check this page, actors’ pages, latest review, top rated shows, or the feed. We don’t give certain dramas preferential treatment, while others not. That is unfair. It is all done by the system. If we start giving certain dramas a favorable treatment, other would complain that we are not giving xyz drama the same treatment. So the current system is the best, but I wish the Starting this week and ending this week list would not be limited to 12 dramas only.
The drama might show up on trending list when more people start watching it and adding it to their list. Many already have it on their list waiting for subs before watching it. If someone doesn’t know it aired, they will know when they see the latest reviews about it or if it gets to the trending list.
