Food, feminism and a soggy plot
The plot itself wasn't very much pleasing to my taste in the first place .. the pace of story, events unfolding and even the characters nothing really could hold my heart even though for its rating I had high expectations from this show. I understand there are a lot of people who like a subtle storyline with women fighting or helping each other with men in the centre of their attention but I personally don't appreciate such troupes. As the show begins se see all shades of objectifying women in the society ...a competition to select wife .. fine ..but degrading them right away like their life depends on it .. then comes a clown with 24+ concubines ..and if that wasn't enough our ML who was talking big and making his eternal love promises to FL bring a new wife ...at this point my patience ran out .. the biggest turn off for me in any story is when the lead of that story goes back on his/her words especially when that is a promise he/she made to his/her partner. After watching a bit further it was clear that this new wife is not interested in him and wants to divorce him ..good but that doesn't mean his own actions are nullified.I will not suggest if anyone should watch it or not ..but for me this drama has passed the threshold of my emotional and moral compass ..I don't mind watching gore ..blood shed .. swords and guns but this is something I can't take. Seriously..it pokes right through my heart and makes me moody for days.
tian xiwei was okay .. clearly her acting wasnt even half as good as it is now ( moonlit reunion)
ML ... I dont know what his name is and he is easily forgettable .. I might watch him if I see him in other drama but I won't be looking for his drama exclusively. They don't have even the iota of chemistry between them.. I don't know about ML but I have seen TXW in multiple drama .she can pull a great chemistry with almost every co actor. Here she failed. In fact the awkwardness was quite visible between them.
The side cast was okay .. two three actors were those you commonly seen in other dramas from time to time ..
BGM is soothing
So that's all

Revenge stuck on level 3
Here we go again with the most overused revenge plot starter pack. One unfortunate night, the FL's entire family is assassinated in cold blood. Ten years later, she has changed her identity and is working with the Marshal to obtain intel on these assassins in exchange for doing shady work for him. After killing two out of four culprits, she gets stuck on the third. Stuck like, literally stuck. This man must be carrying some kind of immortality boon against the FL because no matter how many weapons she carries or how much kung fu she knows, he always slips out of her hands. Eight episodes, four to five attempts, and he is still walking on this planet unscathed. šššš
[THIS IS ALSO THE REASON WHY I DROPPED THIS DRAMA]
Oh, and I forgot to mention there is a fourth culprit we know nothing about, because apparently, at the time of the assassination, his face was covered.
Now let's talk about the "pain-in-the-a$$" ML. My God. I know some people might find him cute, but I found him very irritating. The FL got herself one hell of a spoiled apple to fall in love with. This man is the literal speed breaker in her path of necessary vengeance. Honestly speaking, the way he always puts a spoke in the wheel, at one point I was almost convinced he might as well be that fourth assassin.
And for some reason, I just knew he was going to be even more annoying in the upcoming episodes. Hence, I dropped it.

Glad this was the last immortal cause I might not be able to take another one of it
Such a ridiculous and childish plot it was .. seriously ..I hold it for 17 freaking episodes just to witness this drama getting more and more annoying with each passing episode.
Third class writing ... Whosoever wrote this screenplay needs to understand he gave away too much in the first 5- min of the pilot episode so there wasn't a lot to look forward to ... And further when we see the ML's irresponsible character (in another 10 mins of pilot episode ) we can pretty much predict how he must have fucked up.
Secondly the style of introducing new characters in the plot is so bogus ... I was watching the show on rakuten viki and in the timed comment viewers were so confused, they kept asking ' oh I forget when was this character introduced again ' , ' oh sorry I forgot who is this shuan? ' and so on ... A lot of characters were just unnecessary neither did they add impact nor to the development of story they just created chaos in our memory system.
Moving forward let's talk about the cast .. ZLS without a doubt kept this drama on life support through her acting otherwise there was no hope ... My girl is cute, hilarious, spontaneous and full of expression/ emotions. She can do any script. Other than that second ML was good both look wise and acting wise .. main ML didn't appeal to me at all ... His looks and acting both were too out of the place for this show.. moreover ZLS overshadowed him with her acting . Rest of the cast was just okayish.
Ost vfx fight scene were average to good ..I see people complaining a lot about these things but even if the standard of these things don't match the best, they were horrible either.
I don't recommend watching this rest is upto you

This review might offend a few ..i know, but here's my thoughts
Wow, what a show. No plot, super cringy, dry as dust, and not even accidentally funny infact inclined towards annoying . I swear every episode was on repeat: surgery, hang out with the same group of friends, eat the same food, get called for another surgery, sing karaoke like itās a music class no one asked for, more surgery, then someone dies out of nowhere. Groundbreaking stuff, really. Story? Couldnāt find one if I used GPS. One of the Worst k-drama Iāve ever sat through. Music? Not even one decent songājust ten minutes of off-key singing in every episode. Hilarious? Nope. Just annoying.leads performance? Questionable not plot was so lame you can't really blame them .But seriouly I donāt get the hype. Why does this have good reviews? I feel like I am being generous to give it a 1.5 star doesn't deserve even a zero to begin with . There is hardly any chemistry in the couple infact all character seem flat and unlikeable , just Boring beyond words. not worthy of my time.

Picked it for the rating, it wasn't worthy of.
I think I picked the worst possible drama to break my slump. The faces werenāt appealing, the acting felt forced, and the writing had zero logic. Plot holes popped up every few minutes. The comedy was compromised and rarely landed. Even the action scenes looked childish and poorly executed. Instead of pulling me back into dramas, this one only deepened the slump. Definitely not a binge-worthy or memorable watch. Was this review helpful to you?
In pursuits of uniqueness, failed to deliver even the ordinary.
After watching almost one-third of this series, there is still not a single aspect, character, or storyline that truly keeps me engaged or makes me eager to continue. Five out of sixteen episodes are already over, yet I am still waiting for something meaningful to happen. Instead, I am stuck watching this overly sensitive male lead throwing constant tantrums, behaving as if the entire world should adjust to his moods. He comes across as cranky and emotionally exhausting, while the female lead keeps babysitting him with endless patience. What frustrates me even more is how this self abasing female lead continues to tolerate his behavior despite being disrespected again and again. He has humiliated her in countless ways, yet she stays around as if she has no self-respect, almost like a doormat who refuses to walk away. Her actions make it difficult to sympathize with her character.
Then there is this third character who treats other peopleās house like his personal love hotel, casually walking in and out whenever he pleases, while maintaining privacy against the house owner himself. The supporting cast does not help either. We have an animal abuser, a worthless paparazzi reporter, an annoyingly loud personal assistant, and a woman constantly insecure about her husbandās past relationship. The only somewhat decent character so far is the shaman.
On top of all the plot moves at a painfully slow pace. The storytelling lacks tension, meaningful clues, or satisfying reveals. At this point, it feels less like a drama and more like a test of patience.

Absurd ..and boring
There is absolutely no consistent flow in the story ...events are happening abruptly..like he suddenly falls in love with her like that out of blues and declares her as his real fiancee ... I mean there is no journey ..no moments ...Though ML's acting is fine but FL is a disaster ..she doesn't know ABC of expressions or dialogue delivery ... And her irritating act of trying to look cute ... I mean come on ...as per the script You came from a struggling background ..that demands a maturity in your character establishment while you are acting like an immature teenage girl from a well off family. Pathetic
Plot development was equally miserable ... Everything seems to be copied from other shows/novels ..nothing new ...
Worth watching : NOPE absolutely
Worth rewatching : don't watch it even for the first time.

"In Blossom... Of nonsense"
This drama was a full-time assault on logic. I tried giving it a chance. I really did. I reached episode 7 hoping it would redeem itself, but instead it kept digging a graveāfitting, since the FL seems obsessed with them.We start off with a handsome magistrate and a coroner whose face has disfigured due to an accident . They were engaged once upon a time but got separated due to some tragic backstory no one asked for. Now, after ten years, they reuniteāand boom, wedding bells.
Enter: the side chic. Sheās got a thing for the ML and decides that the most reasonable way to win his love is toāwait for itāswap souls with the FL. And the writers were like, āYes. Genius. Letās roll.ā
She actually ends up marrying the ML (in the FLās body), but karma clocks in fastāshe gets murdered on the wedding night.
Now half the characters think itās suicide, others whisper murder. The FL (now in the dead side chicās body) suspects ML. So what does she do?
Takes her suspicions straight to him and makes him her partner in crime-solving. Like who watson??? I will pick the prime suspect.. okay !! Let that sink in. She thinks this man mightāve murdered her⦠and sheās like, āWanna solve your own case with me?ā
She throws every clue his way like sheās auditioning for a role in Scooby-Doo. She stumbles around crime scenes like a budget Sherlock Holmes with a head injury and leaves around her trails everywhere just the ML to catch her in her actions without even pitt ng any efforts.
now let's talk about the ML? The show stopper of Zero concern. This fan girl around him who used to obsess over makeup and manners, whose life was entirely about grace and appearance, suddenly starts unearthing corpses and talking decompositionāand he just goes like totally chill and unbothered. I mean if this is intelligence than I might be a cucumber in the physics lab.
Not once does he raise an eyebrow. Not once does he question the creepy new hobbies or the personality change that screams demonic possession or body snatching at minimum.
Itās like the entire cast is allergic to logic.
I already know if I watch till the end, Iāll find more gaping plot holes than a block of Swiss cheese. But why torture myself when there are other dramas that donāt insult your IQ?
This one was a mystery, a romance, and a horrorāall rolled into one... horror for anyone expecting sense.

Pathetic
1. Illogical plot.2.childish execution
3. Third class acting (FL was specifically horrible)
4. Forced comedy
5. No chemistry
6. Cheap makeup and styling.
A complete time waste ... I suggest you it's better you watch your paint dry instead of watching this crap. I guess Meng En was the only one committed to his work in the entire team.

Better off Asleep
I went into this show with high hopesāitās from the creators of Pinocchio, so I expected the same magic. But, letās just say it didn't even meet half of my expectations.
First off, the female lead (donāt even remember her name),I was kind of hoping for someone whoād hit me with that Park Shin Hye-level charm, whom I missed dearly. This was my first time seeing this actress, sheās good, I donāt think sheāll make it to my favorites. The chemistry with the male lead was so-so too.
And the narration? Oh, the excessive, endless narration. Each episode is loaded with monologues and POVs from male lead, female lead, side characters, probably even the neighborās cat. trying to explain every little thing. Imagine having a thrilling crime drama pause every five minutes to give a detailed commentary on everyoneās psychology. Iām not here for a lectureāIām here for the drama!
The mom character had me laughing until she went off the rails after finding out about the leadsā shared past. She decides to hide a ring that the male lead gave to the female lead. Like, okay? Was this supposed to change anything? Because Iām pretty sure he could just buy another ring.
Then there's the whole future-vision power fiasco. These characters can literally foresee life-or-death situations, yet they repeatedly walk right into them. If I saw a vision of myself getting hurt in a certain place, Iād be making plans far away from there. But they seem determined to test fate at every turn. Itās like they have a superpower but refuse to read the manual.
Oh, and randomly, a side character suddenly becomes fully color-blind. Talk about bizarre! Add to that some uninspired wardrobe choices.
Overall this was the type of drama which will force you to revisit your life choices.

So... He died anyway ...
The story follows a sickly or poisoned former martial arts sect leader, LX, who gets unexpectedly tangled up with a rookie detective. Together, they investigate a series of strange murders and bizarre crimes. As they peel back the layers of each case, a much darker mystery connected to their own pasts slowly begins to emerge. For the first thirty episodes, the drama was actually pretty decent. It wasn't some masterpiece that would leave you speechless, but it was engaging enough. The slow-burn investigations, the mystery, the character dynamics... it all worked well enough to keep me watching.
But those last ten episodes?š®āšØš®āšØš®āšØ
They felt less like a drama series and more like serving a full life sentence.
No, seriously. At one point I caught myself looking at my syllabus books and thinking, "You know what? These are actually more interesting." That's how badly the plot started dragging.
The biggest problem was that everyone seemed to lose their common sense. The characters suddenly became frustrating, the dialogues turned painfully repetitive, and scenes that should have lasted two minutes somehow stretched into eternity. Take that pagoda sequence, for example. They were supposedly racing against time to find the mother bug, the villain could have returned with his entire gang at any moment, and what do our heroes do? Casually stroll around the crime scene, discussing theories, visualising events, and having long philosophical conversations as if they're on a sightseeing tour. The urgency was nowhere to be found.
And the worst part? The drama is packed with moments like this. Every time something important was about to happen, the characters would stop for another unnecessarily long conversation. It felt as if the writers were being paid by the minute and were determined to squeeze every last second out of each scene.
By the end, I wasn't even curious about the mystery anymore. I was just curious whether the episode would finally end.
It's genuinely disappointing because the drama had a solid premise, a fairly interesting central mystery, and enough potential to be memorable. Instead, the final stretch drains all the momentum built up in the earlier episodes. What started as an intriguing investigative drama eventually turns into an endurance test for the audience.
Now, onto the good stuff.
Cheng Yi was excellent. He played the role so convincingly that he was looking genuinely sick, exhausted and fragile. But I do think LX deserved his own victory moment, After making him suffer through illness, betrayal, and endless injuries the writer still chose to kill him in the end.... Like...
Why ?????? What was the reason??? š
Surprisingly, I found myself liking Joseph's FX more. Watching him grow from a spoiled, impulsive brat into someone with genuine ambition and purpose was incredibly satisfying. And I absolutely loved that he chose to continue travelling the martial world instead of settling down. It felt true to who he had become.
The styling was exactly what you'd expect from a wuxia period drama. Elegant costumes, beautiful scenery, and all the flowing robes your heart could desire. Nothing revolutionary, but it did its job well.
And the OST?
Oh !! It was an absolute banger. And why not.... It's sung by Yunning. That man simply refuses to release mediocre tracks.
In the end, this drama could have been so much better if the writers had stayed committed till the very end. The ingredients were all there: an intriguing mystery, compelling characters, and a fascinating world. But the final stretch stumbled so badly that it left me wondering if the writers themselves had lost the mother bug.
Would I recommend it????
Actually, yes. š
Despite all my complaints, I think it's worth giving a chance. Try the first five episodes. If the characters and the investigative vibe click with you, you'll probably enjoy most of the ride.
Just be prepared for the last ten episodes.

subtitle crises
this show has broken links on the various platform that provide decent subs ... it's available on youtube but subs missing in various scenes. at first i thought the subs are missing only in not-so-important scenes but soon blanks gone bigger and bigger and episode 5 things stopped making sense without the subs so .. cant hep i had to drop..otherwise this story is stupidly adorable.

Not gonna waste my time on this one
Watched 15 mins of episode 1 and instantly knew I was heading toward a breakupāwith the show. The leads already met, one already head-over-heels... great, now what? Bake cookies? Zero suspense. Still gave it a shot, but then came the sceneāML tries to show FL her boyfriendās cheating, and instead of opening her eyes, she scolds him. I actually paused to check if I was watching a parody. Iāve endured enough stupid FLs for a lifetime, thank you very much. No tension, no twist, just recycled drama in a sparkly wrapper. Dropped it faster than the FL dropped her common sense. Moving on.No regrets, just relief. š«”šļø

This drama should be titled: Immortal samSNORA/ immortal samSORRY/ immortal samSLUMBER~~
The second part picks up exactly where Part 1 left off. Now, considering how painful the first season became towards the end, I went into this one carrying a tiny spark of hope. Maybe this part would address some of my grievances. Maybe the pacing would improve. Maybe the characters would finally start using the cranial and magical powers a little.
Maybe.
But none of that happened.
In fact, somehow, this season managed to be even messier and less rewarding.
One thing I did appreciate was YY. Even after regaining his memories, he continues to acknowledge his feelings for YD. No unnecessary amnesia drama, no "I must deny my feelings cause I have to save the world " BS*. He knows whom he loves, and he's determined to make things right. He's even ready to renounce his godhood and leave everything behind for his beloved.
Sounds romantic, doesn't it?
Well...
The execution was about as exciting as watching paint dry.
Bro, you are a literal Heavenly God.
A GOD.
Why are you standing there looking mildly concerned while the villain casually destroys evidence right in front of you?
Do something!
Shoot lightning.
Freeze time.
Throw a mountain.
Pull out some ancient divine technique hidden in your sleeve.
Anything.
Instead, his entire strategy seems to be:
1. Arrive.
2. Look worried.
3. Say, "This can't continue."
4. Continue letting it continue.
At some point I stopped feeling frustrated, His approach is so passive that i ...š„±š„±š„±š„±š„±.
So...I dropped it at Episode 10. I simply couldn't do it anymore. Apparently Life is short. My watchlist is long. Besides, I already know how this is going to end. ML and FL die in the final episode so there is exactly nothing to look forward to.
So yes, I'm stepping off this train.

What the hell is this ?
Ridiculous plot, pathetic acting and third class comedy.. it is painful to watch Cavan doing such horrible drama..such a waste . For mary's sake don't just make a drama out of any stupid script.... Oh damn! This wasn't good enough to be called a SCRIPT in the first place. And the FL ... Can't care less about her š Even my chihuahua has better acting skills than her. This show is waste of your precious time.brace yourselves and Drop the idea of watching ,go grab something better. Bye š(Even writing a review for this crap feels like a national crime)
