From the markings on the video, its' SO SANAEHA which is subbed by NekoNeko and available on her website. They're just stripping it from her site so they can push ads on you. And they got the wrong lakorn, too!

You know, I've watch so many shows that I wished were spoofs that it was a relief to actually find one.

Just got around to finishing this show. Very dated storyline (at least to me) although I always enjoy seeing people actually working for a living instead of just sitting around being pretty or rich. The fabric plant story was actually quite interesting. The romance and plot - eh, not so good. Not worth a rewatch for me.

On Twitter, there is a collector of old films (https://twitter.com/tongbingxue) who has some clips of the "Young Marshal", Chang Hsueh-liang, China’s northeast military leader. I imagine this might be the one the character is based on. He is very young looking - with the kind of mustache guys grow to make them look older!

I'm watching there as well only I had to jump ahead on MapleStage to see the more recent episodes.

So, where do we first see the meeting of Qin Sang & Yi Lian Kai? I've been spoiled through the clips but so far - never seen it. I'm watching unsubbed on Maple Stage now.

Okay, is the young military man who takes in Qin Sang and serves her lamb on her way up the mountain to her husband/Third Master - is he Second Master or is he the younger brother of Eldest Sister-in-law? Sometimes I'm seeing people in uniforms and sometimes not . . .

I was wondering if I just missed that backstory so I went and rewatched some episodes - nope, this is not totally told in chronological order. Yes, the ending montage has spoiled me already for some events . . .

It could have used a good episode trimming and it's not as pretty as the classic Scarlet Heart but - not bad! I'm appreciating the subtitles, too.

And I am very surprised no one has addressed the elephant in the room - no way does Raymond Lam (sexy as he is) looks younger than Tina Tang.

I had watched up to ep. 30 - mostly without subs - and now that you reminded me, I'm restarting watching it with subtitles. I hate to admit it but I'm liking the very twisted yet close relationship between Dong Ge and Nuerhachi. I'm appreciating the fact that all of them like Dong Ge but all of them are ready to give up affection (parental, romantic or brotherhood) in order to get and keep power. It seems pretty realistic.

I was surprised and oddly pleased with this lakorn. Yes, business and familial revenge is the order of the day but I loved so many of the side characters that it didn't really matter that Lee's father's revenge was straight out of an old black-and-white silent film. If that actor had had a mustache, he would have twirled it. Much as I like Boy, the way he acted out his affection for Leela reminded of being followed around by a very large, affectionate husky.
