Try watching this on WeTV (the website not the app: www.wetv.vip/en ). I noticed something 720p on WeTV a lot of times looks better than on YT at 1080p.

LOL and how is #2 wrong? Everytime CX see XY get closer with TSJ his eyes turn teary and red... Eventually S2 will fully play to this with an expanded romance arc where CX tries to "hit" on XY after it was revealed to both she isn't his biological cousin...

How am I trolling you know 99% of the time the drama never follows the book ending. Those who read the book thinking drama will just rehash the same plot... This is what Tencent is famous for taking the original work and work in a new twist at the end!

Was I talking to you? Tencent known to dumb down the original content/original work when they adapt a drama. Just look at Douluo Continent drama vs the anime, and The Longest Promise live action script...

3. Xiang Liu dies in a death match with Cang Xuan. He always wanted to assassinate CX but ends up getting assassinated instead. Of course XL doesn't die by CX's hand but more like got killed trying to save XY.

XL has a death match with CX, somehow (or as expected XY is involved), he had to abandon the fight at the critical moment to save XY that his how he dies...

2. Xiao Yao is not Cang Xuan's biological cousin/sister. When this is revealed there will be a story arc where Cang Xuan tries to romance Xiao Yao. BUT, because CX is too ruthless eventually XY hates him for it and leaves him for TSJ.

1. The kid is not TSJ's but his brother's. That's how TSJ ends up with XY in the end after all confusion clears up.

S2 ALL INCLUSIVE SPOILERS

PARDON me? You know the baby not TSJ's kid but his brother's kid right? So in S2, all confusion clears up and XY marries TSJ. Who in the world makes the story of an alpha lady marry a beta ML?!?!? TSJ can only be the alpha male the FL ends up with, albeit a borderline beta male (due to his clinginess)...

And exactly why isn't TSJ an alpha? He the headmaster of the Tushans so at least by title/social status he is alpha. PLUS he done NOTHING WRONG towards XY, even the baby he "accidentally" had with you know who, it not his child but his brother's child!

Xiang Liu -- FAST FOOD (when girls fall for them the effect is exactly like "more [jerk] than that and my TV screen would blow up". Girls always feel this way when they fall for the jerk!

Tushan Jing -- MAIN COURSE (slow but healthy food)

Cang Xuan -- MAIN COURSE (slow but healthy food)


BUT... Yuck Tushan Jing just so damn clingy. This guy is borderline beta male because of his clinginess!

All I said was NONE of the two alpha males in this drama are perfect. Go look at Love Like Galaxy, the ML not afraid to abandon the FL leading her to become secluded for a few years with the queen. This Tushan Jing is just too too damn clingy... Why couldn't he be a bad ass like Leo Wu and abandon Zhao Lusi even for just a little while?

Xiang Liu -- Jerk
Tushan Jing -- Alpha male but TOO FRIGGIN CLINGY
Cang Xuan -- Alpha male but TOO RUTHLESS
Beta Male -- Not present in this story (go have a look at Love Like Galaxy except the ML the other two males are BETAS)

I thought the OVERALL story was weak because of this. The IDEAL alpha male is NOT present in this story at all. In real life dating, the girl falls in love with the jerk very fast but because he's a jerk, she leaves him just as quick. Explains why XY has the hots for XL... but ultimately doesn't choose him because he's not ALPHA male!

EP 38. Can anyone explain the third arrow? What was that all about? Why they shot the arrow(s) to the grandpa's front yard? And how did that allow/help CX to escape the "trial"?

I must say, I'm a little disappointed with the costume design of this drama. Even Xiao Yao dressed as Grand Princess her red costume just looks NICE but NOT great looking.

Actually, I have never seen a good looking costume design in any Tencent drama. Maybe their style of INTENTIONALLY being bland/uninspiring in costume design.

Compare to Bai XiaoChun from Youku production. Something like this costume better designed than 99.99% of Tencent drama costumes!

(Plus don't get me started on Song Junwan female costume from above Youku production -- her outfit the ALPHA of ALPHA females makes Tencent female costumes all bow down and kneel to hers!)

Even with The Untamed many have expressed dissatisfaction with the weird sleeves of their hanfu costumes!

Tencent should REALLY fire all their costume designers and poach from Youku. To DATE I have never, and I mean NEVER seen a nice costume in any SINGLE Tencent drama. How can you be China's BIGGEST C-ent company and have so BAD sense of fashion?!?!

Tencent costumes are so ugly. I dunno all their ANIME characters have killer stylish looks, probably the best-looking 3-D CGI/2D girls and boys, men and women in the industry, yet their drama costumes are so bland. It's like they're two different companies, Tencent Anime and Tencent Drama, and the latter sux at designing costumes!

Also, I noticed Dou Luo Continent ANIME the story is meant for intelligent ppl with BIG BRAIN, then they go and dumb ALL it down in their live action drama. Mirror: Twin Cities ANIME is so kick arse, but TLP drama it seems is written for 5 year olds!

The only exception probably The Untamed. THAT drama as good as the original ANIME version (not that "Q" alteration/variant).

Cruelly? If you was XL actor, would you they ended his character in a less spectacular way?

I heard S2 is only like 20-30 episodes long. They already recouped their investment by airing S1. S2 is just the cherry on top. Why wouldn't they do a movie to compensate the viewer? It probably only costs 25% of the money they would have spent filming a 40-episode drama. 2hr movie vs 45minx40 episodes season, do the math it not hard to choose to pull off the former!
