I was so proud of this for picking up after ep 8 and it remained good just up until this week's episodes...…
My understanding is that this version was suppose to stick with the path of the original manga over repeating what was done in the previous dramas, I have not read it so I can't comment on if it was or not. The drama itself was only 13 episodes/ 39 on the web. The running time for content was much shorter than the other versions.
The last couple of episodes felt a bit rushed but all in all I'm very pleased with how this show turned out…
I agree it was a bit rushed at the end. They only did 13 episodes/ 39 on the web, so it was considerably shorter than the other previous versions. There is still no word on a sequel...I'm hoping.
I'm freaking out, subs shoud be out now... but they're not, THEY'RE NOOOT ç_ç Subbers,…
There are several places showing this drama and each channel has it's own subbers....but there are no subbers on MyDramaList...this is a review website only.
Usually the programs don't get into the hands of the websites until the program airs and then it takes a few hour to a day for the subs to appear, so 11am EST is a good estimate on when they can start. Ep 3 is completed on Drama Frever and Viki...Viki is Ep 4 subbed up to 79% and DramaFever will have them up no later than 9pm EST.
So the sister committed suicide over that? What a moron. She doesn't know how to quit her job?
Yes they would have kept it a secret within the company, but your reputation can follow you in other ways, ceo's know one another in the corporate world, people with money and position connect will self protect, I have observed this personally in the real world ... If they want to keep you shut up or unemployed, they can find away to get you out of the way.
Plus... She is the crown jewel in her family, there is more at play than just her relationship within the company itself. Having to quit suddenly and tell her family without an explanation wouldn't go over well.
Anyway, there maybe more to the story we have yet to discover ...We will have to see over the coming 2 weeks... The one thing about the human experience, there is no cookie cutter response in life. What I maybe able to endure, another may not and vice versa.
They changed it. I think there used to be 20 episodes and now there's 16 eps... what happened? But I think…
It was always 16 on DramaFever... The Liar and His Lover is the program after My Shy Boss ends, and its official start date has always stayed March 20th since it was announced. This was way before the script changes for My Shy Boss. If My Shy Boss were planned to be 20 episodes in the beginning, then the original start date would have been in April 3rd for The Lover and His Liar.
So the sister committed suicide over that? What a moron. She doesn't know how to quit her job?
Women in general are judged more harshly in these types of scenarios, especially in parts of asia. Plus...there is a lot of pressure to live up to the expectations from one's family and that of society's opinions in South Korea. It's not surprising the nation has the highest suicide rate in the world.
Keep in mind... She is known as the "perfect" sister, the responsible one....so being a "good-girl" type, I don't see her sleeping with anyone lightly, much less the CEO.
It's also important to factor in her position of power in the company...She is a low level employee working for a "publically" well known company, and the person who pursued her is not only the company CEO and adopted son of the owner, he is suppose to marry the owner of the company's daughter..."committed relationship" equals a really big mess... ...She feels ashamed and trapped...Since the CEO would be known publicly, he is in the papers...even if she quits the fear of a tarnished image not only professionally but also with her family would follow her would weigh heavy. Her reputation is not only hers.
11 and 12 ...seriously epic! The kiss... THE KISS! OMO! I can't believe the viewership ratings in Korea are still so low...This show has me captivated, I end up watching every episode at least twice... Monday seems like forever away and there are only 2 weeks left! I have a feeling I'll be going through withdraw once it is all over.
i just wanna say this: the story takes a major turn for the GOOD, from episode 6 onwards! since then it has only…
I have liked this from the start. I actually found the lead actress very refreshing...I find many people are more like her...maybe even myself when I was younger.
I believe she's intentionally meant by the writers to be the complete opposite of her boss.
There are these two extremes formed by past unresolved trauma and both are present in the story. We see the boss manifest as an introvert, and she on the other hand is an extrovert, however as the show progresses we see those extremes becoming a vehicle of healing...and they BALANCE one another out... Love has a way of doing that with people. Under all of the fear and flaws ...kindness and thoughtfulness are the roadway which builds a sincere space for people to become who they really are meant to be...free in themselves...free to love and be loved.
I don't know where you can watch it live...Someone tries to show it live on Youtube but its 1/4 of the screen and the sound is terrible. I watch it on DramaFever once it is translated but I believe it maybe available on KissAsian too later in the day.

Personally I find the Thai version is the best of them all, though it wanders a bit a way from the original story.... The new Taiwan version Miss in Kiss might be my second. It's a bit more innocent, the male is cautious but not cruel. He tends to reveal his tenderness toward the female lead in stuttle ways, she may not always get him but the audience can see it.
