Oh yes so true, Young Minister Huo would have been a great asset indeed in her Majesty's future "ideal" court had he lived, I was kinda thinking he and Pei Shenzi would have been such good friends as he would come to know and would understand him some more. Too bad Pei Shenzi's caution and grim warning to Huo was too late. Huo's understandable big beef and misunderstanding with Pei had already taken it's root and deep. Huo was too young, too new as a court official and is brash and is on an impulsive justice seeking warpath with Pei Shenzhi's blood and death as Huo's reward. So sad indeed.

Agree...You are so spot on!......and Isn't she just lovely!?....her unconventional solutions to some pressing matters and her unorthodox strategies in taking evil enemies out of pasture was a f*cking genius just when we all thought and conclude and was so f*cking sure that she will use the "Ace" in her deck of cards, and boom out of nowhere she astonishes us all by taking out the "Joker" deck of card instead. Yes, Pei Shenzi helped her a lot quietly in the background and more but the whole full strategem were all her own ideas and they are a no joke by any means indeed. And this is one of the reasons why I can quite understand why the equally genius ML Pei Shenzhi have fully laid his complete life, heart and devotion at her feet

Nope it's not that at all, it all logically tied up despite the time constraints of this mini drama on why she became a "Regnant Empress".

If you noticed in evey episodes of this drama they've been heavily impressing and hinting at us , highlighting and generously scattering them all over and evrywhere on each episodes , on why this is so.

And this is the beauty and genius of this drama on how they made it all logically outlined to make this EMPRESS as a "Regnant" and in sole power quite plausible and possible. And this is just one of the many reasons on why this mini drama is that once in a blue moon masterpiece mini drama.

Ahahaha 😅Im with you right there, I too hitched them already in my lalaland's delulu mind too and that is why I can't bear so see her with other future ml who is not Li Ge Yang it feels like cheating to me 💔 my heart can't take it yet... Hehe

Had to disagree with you regarding the "Aunt" thing, yes I've seen her too many acting evil roles too but here she convinced me to her role that she is this Aunt that is quite cautious, protective and fearful ( rightly so) character what with her painting herserf like this sort of weak,keep a low profile type of person, while strategically ascending in the maid ranks department to have more freedom to roam the palace and plan their future escape successfully, her doing a lot of strategies and the many tricks she needs to device regarding her ward,constant stress inducing task of caring for a less powerful dual crazy personality of a concubine ( her majesty's "mother" and pei's real mother) while doing the task of caring, teaching , nurturing and hiding the real gender of prince ning yi, her lowkey braveness and intelligence ,and in the right moments her being her majesty's substitute mother figure ( heavily hinted without a doubt all through out the drama ). You can already imagine the enormous and welcomed heavy burden she went through all these years thus explains why she is fidgety, forever observing either discreetly or overtly observing the person in front of hers and sounding out their intentions.she definitely grew on me.

Please I beg you do not read the spoilers in here watch all the episodes first and just bent your sentiments here after...coz trust me it really worth it irregardless of whatever ending you have suspected and imagined in your heart already. You'll still end up contented and feel glad that you stick around ( this drama is definitely not a waste of time of that I can confidently assure you )

Haha, true....and same here, first time discovering her too, so lucky to have come upon her in this amazing mini drama. I can't even see her ( not yet anyway , my heart is not ready) with another future male lead costar, my thirst for her burning spicy chemistry with Li ge yang is not yet satisfied they need to pair in on another drama preferably of historical setting but really I will gladly accept any genre they both will star in, and make it soon please.

Amen to this! Sooo true... You would not think that at first coz the art cover was making this drama seemed like it's a fantasy of sort or another unserious okay drama but no it's not actually and it's very far off from that, not to mention the vague ordinary drama synopsis does not help at all and coupled that with our minds expectation, thinking it's a mini nonsense "do not take seiously " , is it or is it not a cringey or lewd waste of time drama again. Haha. How very far off this was from all of those indeed. This drama giving profound message was spot on too.

True not to mention that even then and right now too that we should not forget and disregard the reality that this delicate of beauty type and quite pretty young men exist too then ( and this is why to me her Majesty playing a calm, serene, low profile and simple young boy Emperor is quite believable ) and them using the " coppig a feel of her breast" method for an immediate and a " right there and then " unquestionable proof that his majesty is a woman indeed is an appropriate and ( given the time constraints of a mini drama) a genius approach by the script writer too.

Hang in there and trust me it's jus a small hiccup to endure for the moment coz the next episodes is hella good. And this ordinary ep 18
is actually pivotal to the coming outstanding episodes.

Sorry I was on my camping vacation for a day and a half in a remote place where unfortunately no signal and no internet works, just after watching the whole episodes of this mini drama, I just got back now and I see that so many things happened in here , they're disheartened and disappointed with the SE ending, I guess. I'm sad to see too that it dropped from 5th to 9th place too in wetv app,. Glad you wrote your review already, 👍 I'll really try to write one too if I can manage , not promising tho coz english is not my main language and writing in one is my weakness actually, had to edit like forever before it's coherent enough and acceptable. Notice (this) my weird and wonky use of english words ?😬, though surprisingly my english reading comprehension and understanding ( thank God for this one, small compensation 🙃) I could confidently say myself backed by my english and journalism teachers who both agreed and admit btw is very high and perfectly fine. Haha. Reading, listening and watching english materials is my hobby and passion. (Ps. I'm not a journalist student or in anyway close somewhat to one )

Nope you are very very far off right there...that's not it at all.... but trust me their amazing plot has not yet been done I 'm telling you. The ending is not what you will have imagine.
