You’ve been told time and time again that Dylan Wang has a lot of scenes with Zeng Li and that they do have chemistry, not all chemistry is geared towards a romantic direction, get that into your numb skull! Obviously this adaptation sticks to the novel’s storyline, so your CP is safe, but honestly, Yukee Chen’s acting from the trailer isn’t giving me much hopes for their Roman line

I tell you, it’s so refreshing to watch a drama where there’s no misunderstanding or drama between the main couple. Even situations I thought would have led to a misunderstanding didn’t develop in that direction ( like when TJR stole ZSC’s ring, I went like uh oh, this is gonna cause trouble in the future). For once we have a male lead who tells his partner everything and a female lead who trusts her man no matter what she sees or hears, who doesn’t overthink every little thing. One and only and Forever and Ever is mainly about this two finding each other and falling in love, every other thing is not relevant nor impacts how they feel about each other. One of my best drama for this year indeed!

Actually, the costumes of the tang and Ming dynasties were quite loose and not fitting to the body, the costumes are accurate to a tee in a this drama

That’s my only frustration with this drama, and several other dramas actually, she’s strong until she’s not, she’s smart until she’s not, she’s brave until she’s not, that’s an inconsistency I hate! Actually in the novel, she pretty much remains the same, she dealt with that mother-daughter pair of ingrates pretty much quickly.

Zitan is just delusional at this point. He really thinks that getting rid of Xiao Qi will give him another chance at A’Wu, but she’s moved on long long ago, she left him in the past. The worst of it all is that the only motivation he has to become Emperor is because he wants the power to have A’Wu again...so I get why A’Wu quickly got over him...he’s a spineless, obsessive and clingy man, while Xiao Qi gives A’Wu space when she needs it, and holds her when she needs it.

Does anyone have any idea which ancient dynasty(ies) this drama is similar to. From the dressing and hairstyles I’d say Tang Dynasty...early Tang dynasty

This drama has turned me into a snub for any other dramas airing now. I mean, after watching this one and try watching another one, it just seems so bland... especially the male leads, I’m like, urrgh this dude has no screen presence. This one has really spoiled me, and it has set the bar so high for the rest of the dramas airing this year!
