I don't know about the relationship offscreen being groomish but I do agree with you that they just seem too weird…
You are speaking the truth....FOR REAL. I have quite a few ships & have really thought about the whole NOT having ships thing. But, like you, I have pairings that I love. BUT...I have ones that I cannot stand...allow me to name a few LOL.... ~MeenPing - Ping is a terrible actor & I don't feel a thing between them. However, I can't STOP feeling things with any & everything that has to do with Meen. ~JoongDunk - Dunk makes the same squinting into the sun face all day every day & I can't stand it. Joong is a snack & is talented & he's wasted on Dunk. ~PoohPavel - NO ~ForceBook - boring ~PondPhuwin - Phuwin is yet another terrible actor with stoic reactions & Pond is fighting for his life with this ship.
Now, these are ships that have had multiple series together...don't get me started on the new ones that I'd rather not see again. There are a couple that I disliked originally, JimmySea, but quickly realized that it was due to the shit writing of Vice Versa.
I should point out that the ships that I absolutely adore could be in the worst, most horrible, terribly written, excruciatingly dreadful series & I will watch it with popcorn & tea & set it to rerun again several times. It's a viscous cycle I am unwilling to break LOL.

LOL right? Creepy uncle works. I know that he can't necessarily DO anything about his appearance really...he's short & slight & has a baby face...maybe sexual roles should not be a thing for him? IDK. Maybe with an actor that looks about as old as he does it could work? But yeah, his acting isn't helping either.
I just don't see Nat as a grown up & that's my disconnect. He is every bit his height in age & that sounds really effin rude & I don't mean it to be but I just can't unsee him as a child & Max as too old for him LOL. I am not necessarily someone that takes issues with age gaps...but MaxNat sometimes makes me feel like...icky? IDK how to explain it. Their relationship on & off screen is too "grooming-ish"? Oh that sounds horrible when I read this out loud.
Anyhoo, no need to come for me...I can't change my mind...I want to though. Anyway, see you in a few days.
So, um, I'm torn with this. Putting aside the whole "plenty of girls to marry, why boys" bullshit...I could totally understand Qian remaining blissfully unaware because for all intents & purposes, Yuan IS his brother. With that said, I could also understand Qian saying no effing way because he has raised Yuan AS his brother. I could without a doubt also understand him not only being uncomfortable & even baffled by this revelation but if he chose in the end to just say no, it would make sense to me.
I didn't read the novel & am not interested in spoilers but if this ended without them together, at this point given what we have been shown, I wouldn't be surprised & I would totally get it. It's not as if I'm not rooting for them but this is a different kind of love that Qian would have to recognize in himself & some times...it just ain't there LOL.
Side note...I totally would be licking San Pang as much as I could.
Oh but why? LOL....I know deep in my heart, even after the writers from Oxin told all of their fans to go eff themselves by absolutely annihilating ZekeFifth , that I will be watching this, sipping tea, chuckling at the absurdity that will vomit through my computer screen on a weekly basis.
I sure hope that the same fans show up in the comment section to treat ourselves to the chaotic & humorous driveling of nonsense that will have us laughing & cackling like the petty, boujee bitches that we are.
He's edible & considering he had a sentence of about 4 & a half words, I just can't seem to care because that gray hair was doing it for me too! Totally hot!
So, I may be in the minority here & that's OK, especially since it wouldn't be the 1st time, but, ummmmmmmmmm...I'm not feelin the title LOL - Wasn't my thing in PitBabe either. I'm not into the parental names for the person I'm eating...that's just me LOL
So...if you're a JoongDunk lover I warn you to stop reading now.
Ahem, the thing is, it wasn't necessarily boring but Zo was. Most of the show was about him, his family, & him being this sunshine of a person. He was not. He couldn't be more blah.
Meanwhile we got absolutely nada about Joke's character. Was he happy go lucky? Absolutely not but clingy? For sure.
Which leads me to...we learned nothing of Joke's family until really episode 11 & honestly? So what? There was no story there, at least not one that could've been shoved into the finale. Why do I care about them exactly? They were obviously a complete afterthought in the writing process to make Joke have some sorta depressing, boo hoo family life that was eluded to but unclear until the final minutes.
Jeng & Pok were awesome & it was a shame we couldn't get more of them.
Eff the writers for putting the possibility of Wave & Trin in my imagination & then...nothing.
It's just that there were scenes that clearly happened that the viewer wasn't made aware of & there were lots of them. Quite a bit was "news to us" & both ML's had dialogues that weren't really matching with their personalities. It's hard to explain without specifics, which I wasn't that invested in this show to start listing, but I always felt like I was missing something.
Did Dunk's acting improve? Yeah, ok, sure. He still makes ALL of those faces...constantly...& the most aggravating one is the one that it looks like he's looking into the sun. It almost never goes away.
I don't really feel much between them...I'm almost positive that Joong could look at anyone & they'll feel his fire down to their toes. But Dunk always seems to have this vacant look in his eyes when looking at Joong. I'd constantly be wondering how to get Joong out of his clothes fast enough...but that's just me.
I have felt more & more over the years that maybe anything to do with medical anything in a BL they should just…
The wipe down...yes it has certain healing magical elements where fevers & drunkenness quickly dissipate. I'm not sure if the magic is in the washcloth, the water, or the sheer absurdity that it's considered magical & a constant must-have in the BL world.
But you're right...the hospital should have a prescription for these. I mean, it would save time & money.

LMAO it's so true tho!!! It's as if no one has EVER been to a hospital in their entire life! Example...Beyond the Star...train wreck...boy done attempts suicide, he's in the hospital for like a breath, & then poof he's free & clear & out living his best life. No follow ups, no shrink...just here I am. I couldn't even be mad at it. It was one of the very few highlights of that monstrosity anyway. I couldn't help but think how awesome it was that we didn't have to hear some BS from an actor playing a doctor playing an actor that knows nothing about modern day medicine. It was great really!
