Well it really depends where you want to cut the reel when you make the episodes... they choose the cliffhanger to be the part when the ship goes DOWN :) so until next week, you have to worry if they will make it :)
I am not sure where and how you live, but this drama is about economic crisis, and the ML and FL are poor ppl without connections and totally NEW to business, and they inherited that Pyo Marine predators .... so ... this is some fast learning happening and yeah it is nerve wrecking but ...

THIS IS LIKE YOU ARE WATCHING TWO URBAN PPL WHO FELL OFF A PLANE AND ARE TREKKING WITHOUT FOOD AND WATER AND COMPASS THROUGH A JUNGLE..... so... buckle up, it is going to be a super bumpy ride as they discover more and more hidden traps..

By now, Typhoon trading should have learned to check the shipping ahead of time, etc ...

I love the relationship between FL and ML but she is a little bit too .. narrow minded and does not see the Big Picture. In some ways it is a good balance, she keeps him on the ground. But I wish she was a little bit more ... confident? I dont know which word to use. CREATIVE? Yeah, that is the word - I wish her to be more creative in her thinking.
It is good she stands up to him and they talk everything out. This is a quite well balanced pair and I love that they are kinda equal. Overal this is "positive lessons"

ML is a fantastic dancer. I love love love love love their promo video!!!!! Even the broken English that ticked off the viewers.... it was sooo cool and authentic. The whole deal of putting videotapes secretly, then people throwing them out, and just a few watching and then ordering... This drama is like Basic Lessons in Business... I love it!!!!

But thats life... Those Pyo guys decided to kill and eat up Typhoon trading...

One technical question: so, fakeYC gets married to RichBoy .... and then what IF RealYC comes back to take over ?? would the marriage papers still hold?? bc it is a different person.... And how about the public.... ? They see wedding with one bride called JYC .... and then they see another woman, and she is THE wife and also called JYC .... ???

For myself, I would not use the word "crush" bc I am from the USA and the word "crush" implies certain sexual or romantic interest, and I dont have that.

The word I would use for myself is ADMIRATION and respect for her as an actress and for the overall style of her fictional character....
I have admiration and fascination with something done exceptionally well and I highly respect her acting and costuming, how she brought LoanShark mama to life.

And I also highly respect the costumer and the stylist, they did an amazing job, whoever "designed" the character of Loanshark Mama and her physical expression in terms of fashion and style... it PERFECT...

It took some creativity to design that "look" and that "style".... . Everything is coordinated - her rusty lipstick, hair, curtains, rugs and pillows, everything is accented with rusty brown red, and with lots of gold and shiny jewelry.... Extremely unique and creative character, the look, and the acting makes it just wow amazing.

Wow!!! amazing!!!! Europe is like a senior home.... USA kinda too....

I watched this whole show bc of excellent acting by ML and FL. ML is a very capable actor. FL role was simpler but she was great too.

I really like that the end was "past the end" and we saw their grieving and adjustment period. that is really cool.

Did he jump? I hope not. I hope he called her.

Really only after the dad reveleation, and best friend revelation, could they reunite again, when "all the bills from the past" were cleared out.

Since they understood each other so well and really cared for each other, and nobody else cared for them, ..... getting together would be the best thing to do.

their daughter SuA is such a moron it is undescribeable .... omg moron. HAS she done anything else but cause trouble the entire time???? How does a child grow up so clueless???
Her father;s life was SAVED with the money....she totally forgot about that!!!!! and yeah lost too bc of the way the drug money works...

yes real art is supposed to help us evolve and transform.

JH is not a villain because she is not a FL. She is a villain bc she did some mean things, like asking YR to help her catch JP without first asking YR where she stands, competing with YR, acting mean towards YR.
JH is shallow and immature, her dream is to be pretty and looked at, and her main dream and question for the future is the next minute, to find out if she won the peagant.

YR is portrayed as goody goody but she is an indirect villain, an ENABLER, by being a doormat.
HOWEVER, that is even worse bc in life, YR is very strong and a leader, she organized the bus girls, etc
So she is capable and strong and a hard worker
and it is even worse bc she is a doormat servant at home and to JP.

so this cunningly potrays a super woman, working hard at work AND at home, always serving others.

Overal this is a great piece of mass manipulation :)

This drama is about realistic immature people and TOXIC relationships from real daily life. Imo this drama should be a required watch for students in counseling and psychiatry, as a study in toxicity because you can dig through the layers and you can see the comments of the audience and realize the toxicity and false beliefs in the society.
**** So this drama is useful for analyzing toxicity, like a dissection class at th medical school lets you see all the raw details.. **** In other words, this drama stinks and it will show you the rotting and hidden parts and you need to see that only once to understand. The audience's comments are a part of dissecting the toxicity.

But just exposing toxicity is not art.... Just like doing dissection and knowing anatomy does not make you a medical doctor capable of helping people.

Someone needs to start producing real art, with solutions, ie. some healing ideas and solutions.

We watch toxic people all day in our daily lives and we do NOT need to watch toxic people for 12 hours on tv too. WE NEED SOLUTIONS, THE HEALING IDEAS. Mass media just does not provide it, seems intentional....

That is why imo this drama skillfully and cunningly endorses "1950s" type of people and relationships as commendable, so in fact it promotes the status quo in sexism, catering to men, women competing and backstabing each other for men, shallow ambition of being in a peagant, shallow ambition of waiting around a guy, women not thinking further than their nose, men ennjoying privileges and personal servants for free, etc. This drama could have been set in Goreo or Joseon or before, and it would be the SAME plot.
And that dead-end just stating problems and never showing any hope for any solution is the trademark of western media.
For a piece of art to be truly a piece of art, it has to give some ideas for solutions and has to show some transformation.

This particular drama is useful as a study in toxicity because you can dig through the layers and you can see th comments of the audience and realize the toxicity in the society and the false beliefs. **** So this drama is useful like a dissection class at the medical school. **** But someone needs to start producing art with solutions, ie. some healing ideas and solutions.

They do :) Check out comments in dailies on MDL. Esp Eagle Brothers kdrama taught me that most of those viewers are older. Europe is older too.
THe only young ppl are in S America, Africa, maybe China, and a few here and there in the USA

FYI ES could and probably should have left him long time ago, and ***** she took care of him zillion times more than she was obliged. ***** She sold drugs to pay for his therapy and she kept him alive and gave him money to go to Osaka for more treatment. THAT IS MORE THAN ENOUGH. ***** SHE RISKED HER LIFE AND DAUGHTER'S LIFE TO KEEP HIM ALIVE **** THA IS ENOUGH. SHE IS DONE ****** She does not owe him anything and esp not love. In fact their marriage had no love for a very long time. She was dead already.
That man just receives money from her so that he is not left on the street - and she sacrificed her life and daughter's life to get the money -

so what more do you want from her??? What kind of "healer" are you? If you still think you are some healer by trying to tie her down to that man, then what kind of healing is it, burrying people alive? Some kind of sexism going on, expecting impossible from the woman?

Yeah hopefully SuAh gave up on crushing by now :) And age difference is irrelevant if people "match" :)
