idk if you placed it in a standard savings account so like 4/5% interest that’d be like 40k a year which is…
Buying a house/condo and renting seems the best. If you can buy a building for 3bil won, then you can buy a condo for 1.3bil and then milk monthly income
There is a book Your Money or Your Life by ... a guy and Vicky Dominigues, I think that talks how to invest and retire
Good grief, 1.3 billion Won is roughly one million Dollars which definitely is not enough to quit your job and…

Chairman is irritating and irritated when he chastises HR's "mom" about not being a good mom. He himself was chastising HR before but now wants to be "supportive" - and I think it is bc he is building a case against HR's "mom" so that he can get rid of her. He needs her just as a passive pawn, so that he can steal her money. But lately, she is too outspoken.... and will be sent to ... asylum? or something like that.... and MR will help and then take her place.
HR is a psychopath and spoiled brat, super ugly repulsive, and her "mom" is naturally repulsed. She cannot hide her lack of enthusiasm. HR's "mom" is a naturally kind, goodhearted generous person and has excellent intuition, and already feels that ES is the same and she loves to be near ES - integrity, kindness, high moral values, politeness, humility hard work, etc
Never been to S Korea so - SOMEONE PLS TELL US, DO OFFICE PPL REALLY INTERACT LIKE THAT IN SEOUL. S KOREA? e.g like top female "boss" and ML's boss scenes? ML and his boss scenes? ML, friend and their boss scenes? etc Thanks!
So cool. this is a really well done kdrama. I gave it 10/10 so far bc it is not just a fun fluff drama. It really goes deep. It is profound. And it has SOLUTIONS. I am impressed! The acting, the music, the dialogues, his thoughts, the entire script - is just masterful.
Ep 1 made me feel like I was in Seoul, now i understand a little better that "hamster on a wheel" feeling - although their cage is pretty posh, ML's workplace and apartment and even subway seem very luxuriously modern.. It looks like NYC would if everything was built new... But ... For a small fee... a little bit of fatty liver, dry eyes, slipped disc and what else he said... ? But then 3 angels came from Heaven and helped him figure out the new course of his life.
THe angel came from Heaven and he ... gave him a lottery ticket... I was rolling with laughter with those scenes omg so funny.... Then the scenes where he imagines his potential lifestyles... OMG so funny! WHen the assistant manager fainted and the BigGuy ducked behind the mannequin, I was laughing so hard, the whole neigbhorhood heard me... Omg when he walked out of the limo , that smug face lmao
How can that guy look so good if he eats 3 BIG fried pieces of bacon and 2 big beers for dinner... ? I was thinking - that was probably for real. His apartment looks like a little luxury one? is that for real too? Offices are for real too... But then - are office interactions scenes real?
I was thinking - wth is this - is this how office ppl interact with each other in Seoul, S. Korea? It looked a little toooo western direct for my preconcieved notions of how Koreans interact, esp scenes of lady boss and her subordinate... looked too much like Miranda from Devil Wears Prada ... - but ... I do not know for sure. SOMEONE TELL US, DO OFFICE PPL REALLY INTERACT LIKE THAT IN SEOUL. S KOREA? But when he worked it out with the manager, I was like yeah, this is Korea, this kind of stuff would NEVER happen in the West :) in real life or a drama/movie lmao Well maybe it could. But not often at all :)
So to me this drama has all the stuff that mark good kdramas - wicked sophisticated and compassionate humor, profound messages, character work and growth, and community work and growth, and yeah great acting, great dialogues, great script, music and filming/production. It is just ... elegantly sophisticated warm inspirational and educational. As a good kdrama always is :) I am a fan :)
The actors are so fun and their scripts are so profound - the money angel, the "spend the money" angel advisor, then another, the unruly senior, the two grumpy up bosses, ... and the spice of subordinates, the first mentor, ... It is a whole bunch of really smart people speaking their mind... And yeah ML actor is absolutely perfect in this role. The drama was made for him :) Bc he is such a quiet polite guy, hearing his thoughts REALLY helps to understand him. And his idea of "angry" is very ... polite :) But the actor acted such a great range of emotions so well. ML really seems like a real person
Wow kdrama :) Let us pray lmao that it keeps to the end
This is the second office drama that I am actually interested in ... didn't really liked any other than Good Manager.
There is Misaeng, the classic office drama. I haven't seen it.
I loved Dream Life of Mr. Kim..
what did you think about Filing for Love? I was not thrilled bc FL is ... well.. an awful actress, always the same but ML was super fun to watch, a very fresh character The plot was .. heh
And how about Typhoon Family? That one went overboard with the villain... but had some interesting business cases and of course IMF crisis, it is a great lesson in Korean history
and the super old classic rom com, What's Wrong With Secretary Kim - imo the best male business attire fashion show
gM is great, try other good office dramas like JugglersFeel good to dielove scoutThose are worth watching.
love scout is ...memorable bc both ML and FL are functional adults so there is no drama in the drama.... but the drama is kinda ... bland :) FL is as bland as cardboard, and ML is made a quiet servant. Somehow .... the feeling is that he has to stay on her good side. . the others I havent seen
Oh boy, ever since I watched Hyun Bong Sik in Mad Concrete Dreams, I can’t take him seriously😭 He cracks…
he was the most hilarious lucky angel coming from Heaven to give that lottery ticket...
Besides MadConcrete Dreams where he was totally hilariously -and- seriously memorable, I saw him in 50s professionals in a rather big role as a really nasty villain. also I remember his role of "spoiled poodle" husband from My Troublesome Star and the detective in 9 Puzzles, etc he was in so many good dramas, he usually plays supportive characters and acts as "the spice" that gives flavor to the drama A good drama requires excellent support roles to spice it up
Did Lee Jun Hyuk do something to his eyebrows? It looks strange and was distracting me. lol
everyone did. The young ladies now wear thin long bangs and those thick eyebrows underneath. It is the newest fashion. It is super distracting and looks weird
please remind us - what was he there? I dont remember his role... :(
To be honest... that drama was so hype but the only things that stayed with me was how she scammed the women, the pretty burgundy interior of her store, how she added just a seam in Paris and called it imported, and ... her last speech about what business is to whoever was interrogating her. THat was a phenomenal business lesson. Beats a master's degree...
100% He had a calm office worker role as the ML in Love Scout. but the role was too bland on the outside. and we never got to hear what he was really thinking This role pulls the best out of him He is perfect for this role. Although he is rather calm most of the time, the role is actually very dynamic and his thoughs are profound. Also, in this role he takes action - like with his "senior"
Wow now we get to watch EvilAnaconda Wife eat SB and his new wife alive... Did you notice how cool that psychopath is - looking SB's wife in the eye and telling her to go open the door... Omg that is a masterful EXPERIENCED predator, totally and we get to watch EvilAnaconda DooDoo eat JN, SW, and even JH alive.....
well it is the victim's fault. The victims set it up for themselves. 1st Wife was too stupid to agree to move in for a year, and JN is too stupid to not communicate and to keep DooDoo's past and present from SW. SW is a fool - always was, and will be, for a long time.
and the script writer is just lazy. The drama is starting to fall apart bc the script writer is just too lazy to think of an interesting plot. It is too sad. It is only ep 50 and already falling apart. If this doesnt get resolved in the next 1-2 episodes, the drama will be trash

How did his salary make him $3bil man?
Book called Your Money or Your Life by .. a guy and I think Vicki Dominiguez
That manager spoke back so well during the dinner
