who ever said FL life here is a fantasy??? I NEVER EVEN MENTIONED THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF HER LIFE!!!!!!!! I was talking about how ML would treat FL in an usual sexist drama.
I invite you to reread what I wrote. You TOTALLY 100% MISSED THE POINT. I dont have the time to repeat everything so please reread and ask questions

Now I am going to mention the circumstances of her life since you brought it up: As for her "sacrifices" - sure it was tough. But she never even asked anyone to help. even do the laundry. The dad was abusive and she kept him.
All That's her fault. AND, it is totally her fault to just disappear without a word on the ML. That was STUPID IMMATURE ROTTEN.
AND SO ALL THOSE SACRIFICES AND HARD CONDITIONS YOU MENTION ARE A LOT OF HER OWN DOING. FL IS *** STUPIDLY IMMATURE ***

well - I dislike So Ji Sub poker face "acting" too, I find him boring :)

I saw this actress in It's Ok That's Love and here - and it is THE SAME acting, the same faces. And I didnt like either. I have a feeling I saw her somewhere else and it was also the same.
To me she looks fine, so her looks are not an issue, in fact, I prefer ppl to look their authentic self. It is about her acting.

That bs is realistic , for 2 reasons:
1. FL is immensely stupid CHRONIC LIAR and there is no way to change her mind and make her resolve her true feelings
2. FL told ML to disappear for good - and he did. They are officially OVER, both are single and can date whoever they want
3. ppl do this - go for low hanging fruit - in real life and can be stupidly stuck like this for years or until they die,.

But in a drama, the drama can spend only a few episodes on the stupidity "stuck" phase i.e. do a time skip. THERE IS NOTHING TO SEE WHILE THEY ARE STUCK

IN OTHER WORDS: IF THEY DONT RESOLVE THIS IN A FEW EPISODES... I AM OUT , this would be the same old "stupid FL" plot

I checked other roles of FL actress and now I understand why she is not so popular. All her roles are cold reserved women, and she acts the same in all her dramas I saw

I was thinking - whoever wrote this drama, really knows this stuff. It seems like they have first hand or close watching experience of a "good person" being cheated by someone who seems all good, nice and respectable and was bsing them for a while, and the ensuing chaos and "good person" showing their true colors... That scene of frantic Mrs Joo under the shiny luxurious crystal chandelier...

MS saw those scenes before or at least heard about them, and heard her parents quarreling and divorcing... perhaps leading to her disliking men. But YJ never saw nor heard anything like it in her family... So what shaped her preferences...

Imo the start of this is the breakdown in both MS and YJ's families.
In both families, mom and dad are estranged, the kid is left alone, and there is NO communication between any family members. The family members are disconnected from each other, and they seek love and attention somewhere else, So we have 6 players acting independently to entangle like spaghetti. FL had no idea Mr Joo is MS's father.

The snowball effect here is very severe dark humor and amazing satire :) Family members do bad things and KEEP QUIET AND LIE, and misinterpret what is happening instead of asking.... In this drama, there is enough emotional currency and family members do answer correctly when asked, so asking WOULD work... in some other contexts, ppl lie so asking is futile :)
In this drama, family members are also under outside scrutiny yet ignore the outside evil forces that are tearing them apart even more, like the lawyer and Mr. Joo and their business connections

So this is a stark comedy of miscommunication and disconnection, and desperate futile attempts to connect somewhere - anywhere - at any cost - AS LONG AS IT IS EASY :)

The satire makes a clear message - DON'T DO IT
Or else more than 10,000 ppl globally are gonna be laughing at your antics

The tragedy is that FL's family was very tight and loving but then got complacent, lost the kid, and parents lost each other. MS's family was just experiencing a fresh start, got rid of bad guy dad, and then the mom did not have the inner strength to move on forward.

Well.... YJ and MS are .... so... immature, they could not survive. They are so toxic and codependent

YJ especially - she just does NOT communicate with her parents. She saw a strange man in the house and did not tell her family

I am gonna rewatch the entire series bc at the start I wasnt interested in watching this so I wasnt paying too much attention in ep 1 and 2 - BUT there are sooooo many details and it is easy to miss it or forget it from one week to another, AND also it would be super easy to miss it if you binge watch everything...
So... seems like what I SHOULD have done is rewatch the previous episode before watching the current , and also rewatching many parts of the drama

Like the end of ep 6 - I was so shocked with the twist - yeah it was diabolical, esp with his inability lmao - and it happened so fast and the camera was so genius, merging the MS scene with the next scene with YJ, so I though that the ahs and sighs came from what MS was looking at lmao and maybe that is true :) In any case, there are TONS of situations like that, where the scenes are not totally clear unless you rewatch

WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE SALT BAG AT THE END OF EP 6? if I remember correctly, there was a phone inside it - and ended up in a freezer.... now there is only the video... ... but also I remember seeing her throw salt around... Did the kid see the lawyer leaving after he took the phone.. ?

Nah, they truly do not mind. If it was only about greater issues to handle, FL would not be asking her daughter if she felt betrayed by MS, and would not be asking the girls if they fought - and her daugher answering they are rock solid.
Truly, FL's family fully accepts their daughter, lgbt+ or not.
AND THE STUPID DAUGHTER TAKES HER PARENTS FOR GRANTED AND LIES TO THEM FOR BIG STUFF. YJ is a toxic and quite spoiled teen
