Oh my god. Literally 10 seconds in and we’re way past just kissing I guess now 😭 this is INSANE.

The female lead here was in the first Chinese drama I ever watched “Take My Brother Away” I haven’t felt that 2019 drama nostalgia in years. A simple clip of this drama got me back into that feeling and with the beginnings memory of the female lead, just very warming to me.

I think you’ll be content a bit.

Ming Yu is very trifling in the beginning, you warm up to her fast.

Oh my gosh! Story of Yanxi Palace is my favorite! Ugh I’m literally dying to rewatch it but I already did a few months ago so the scenes wouldn’t be fresh in my mind. That show is an absolute banger literally got my heart pumping just thinking about it. The female lead in there is vigorous, strong, head on. My favorite parts though gotta be the ‘romance’ and sisterhood.

And p.s those other two shows still have strong female leads, story of yanxi palace just tops them. ❤️

I’ve seen so many times people expressing this being the best Chinese drama they watched and get responded with “you’re probably new to cdramas” or “haven’t watched enough” are we not allowed opinions now?? I’ve personally been watching cdramas for 5 years and this is definitely top 10 across boards
