Oh my gosh! Story of Yanxi Palace is my favorite! Ugh I’m literally dying to rewatch it but I already did a few months ago so the scenes wouldn’t be fresh in my mind. That show is an absolute banger literally got my heart pumping just thinking about it. The female lead in there is vigorous, strong, head on. My favorite parts though gotta be the ‘romance’ and sisterhood.

And p.s those other two shows still have strong female leads, story of yanxi palace just tops them. ❤️

I’ve seen so many times people expressing this being the best Chinese drama they watched and get responded with “you’re probably new to cdramas” or “haven’t watched enough” are we not allowed opinions now?? I’ve personally been watching cdramas for 5 years and this is definitely top 10 across boards

Such a hasty beginning. The female lead was given no framework, I can already see her being a pushover. The main leads first encounter wasn’t even cute or that funny neither. What’s all this focus on Hao Jia she seems like an uprising villain or plotter. Ugh I’m tryna cut it some slack because it’s an old drama but even back then they were better than this..maybe. Okay it’s cuz I’m coming from watching ‘Blossoms in Power’ and ‘The Double’ that have very strong minded and powdered female leads so ima just shut up.

I’m assuming to move them to streaming sites like VIKI to make money. I mean good for them but YouTube like made them. It’s the same thing with cdramas they ain’t uploading them to YouTube anymore instead IQIYI and Viki where you have to pay 😢
