I know that would have been me in a romantic relationship with my crush of 20 years. I AM Hira
@PurpleOwl Even after dating for ~5 years, and being married about 8, I would still get butterflies in my belly whenever my husband returned home. I think what "cured" me was pure exhaustion raising our kids. LOL
I love that this season shows Kiyoi's point of view, it makes the first season even more interesting. It's clear…
I re-watched Season 1 before watching Season 2 just so I didn't miss all the clues, esp. the lingering looks Kiyoi was giving Hira even then. Sooo cute.
Oh come on! You're telling me that not only is Inami a bad guy, but he's like a really awful bad guy?? Also do…
Inami is a bad guy, but I don't think we're supposed to sympathize with him. At least I didn't get that feeling. My reaction was disgust, and "seriously, what an idiot." I didn't care that he was confessing his unrequited love.
ngl i don't understand why people keep trashing on this show.. I think it was very realistic for the traumas and…
I agree. Some relationships just don't go smoothly and have sweet moments, as much as we want them to. I thought it was one of the more realistic shows, where it may have started with sexual attraction but they found it could possibly be more. That transition in itself was a challenge because of the uncertainty of "are we still FWB, or are you feeling more like I am?" How vulnerable was Team willing to be? Was he willing to lose this safe cocoon Win provided to get the love he needed/wanted?
I do feel like I missed something. Win seemed to also have "lost" something which is why he had issues expressing his feelings. Dean would sometimes say something to this effect, but I don't know that we got an explanation.
this might be an unpopular opinion but i honestly prefer Between Us over UWMA. although it wasn't perfect, it…
I went into this without any expectations and that likely played a huge part in my enjoyment of the series. I just discovered Asian dramas 13 months ago and BL about 8 months ago. I go into shows not expecting much and being pleasantly surprised. Not to say I'm never disappointed, but I do get very picky about which ones I choose to watch. I rarely watch on-going shows but I did with this one because of UWMA. Not one of my faves, but sill enjoyable.
I fell into a KDrama slump a few months ago and started several but put them on hold fairly quickly. I switched to CDramas which worked. I enjoyed some, including "She and Her Perfect Husband" and "New Life Begins." Thankfully, "Under the Queen's Umbrella," "Reborn Rich" and "The Forbidden Marriage" arrived in time to bring me back to KDramas. I'm mostly watching Thai Dramas now, which can be hit or miss. The lakorn ones can be too melodramatic for me, but I recently found "Mae Khrua Khon Mai" (a RomCom) quite funny. "I Told Sunset About You," a coming-of-age story set in Phuket, was wonderful and very well-acted.
Any recommandations? I want to watch a series that's well written and overall well done. Just something with decent…
I Told Sunset About You (on Viki), a coming of age story set in Phuket. Wonderful scenery, great story, well-acted, even by the younger versions of the two leads. Lots of emotions and very realistic.
I Promised You the Moon, Part 2 of ITSAY, not yet released on Viki, I found it on Bilibili. Lots of growing up in a college setting. Great acting, use of subtle movements, facial expressions and body language. In both, the leads had amazing chemistry.
Thanks to this article, I was able to find (and watch) My Secret Love and Secret Crush on You. What fun shows!! I had already seen Cutie Pie and am now watching Cutie Pie 2.
I was also able to add non-BL shows to my to-watch list. Thanks again!
These writers fail to understand that we loved WinTeam already and that we know they love each other and we know…
I think it's pretty common when a relationship starts with sex, and you clarify it at the beginning that you're both just having fun and getting a benefit, that if one of you get bored, you'll separate. That was the premise of their getting together.
The fact that they eventually start feeling more and doing more for each other could be interpreted as "I'm not bored with you YET." It's not a commitment. Team's feelings have developed to the point that he could no longer see himself without Win, so Team needs to know and needs to hear that Win feels the same way. If Win doesn't, Team needs to walk away. Win's hesitation - ugh! - was not what Team needed. The angst is killing me. I can't believe we have to wait a week. But this is normal behavior for 20-somethings. I think Dean and Pharm have remarkable communication skills for their age!
