I had to give it to Park Jaebum for all the Song Joongki fanservice in this episode. He really do know what to do to make people watching this drama happy. That aside, I'm again very amused at how perfectly timed all of the little plot elements that was shown in this episode. Like how the arrival of the Italian coach was first hinted early on through a news report, and then we see Vincenzo used that to his advantage. And also how we first got to see the painting of Liberty in the flashback at the gallery, and at the end of the episode we see a parody of the Liberty painting. Seriously that was a stroke of genius.

This episode opens with a court scene and ends with another court scene. I have to say that the framing of the episode was pretty neat.We get to see how with Vincenzo's guidance, they managed to somehow delay the first hearing to prevent the case to be closed prematurely by the Babel people and see how the Jipuragi said gained another victory. But then, not all went smooth sailing for the team as the Babel side also kept on attacking.I have to say the comedy in this episode was pretty good. Like who would've thought to use a hornet attack to delay a court proceeding? Also, I have to hand it with continuous misunderstanding by Mr Ahn regarding Vincenzo's behaviour. In which our resident NIS agent unknowingly helped him to keep his true identity as a consigliere away from the enemy. I'm also amused at the fact the writer made Mr Ahn sorta a crybaby. Like Kim Hae-il also shared that similar trait lol. That aside,Junwoo finally revealed his true identity to Han and Choi, so I guess Vincenzo's attempt to try draw him out in the open was starting to bear fruit. All in all, a fun episode!

What a tough cookie.I mean if we're to look at things from Juwon's perspective, it was really frustrating to deal with people who're very reluctant in revealing their secrets and having their own personal agendas to not want their hidden secrets to be unearthed. And it can get scary how the most innocent-looking person could turn out to be a stalker or how selfish or uncaring people can be. To the point that the possibility of the having had a serial killer onvthe loose was less scarier than the townspeople.

Have to say that one needed a lot of patience while watching this drama. Because man, almost every one is shady AF. When youleast expected it, you see an unexpected side to a character which is unlike the persona they normaly show usually. In which the whole tension between the characters and all the mindgames can be very tiring to see.

Three Stars

As expected, the town got into an uproar again as an almost long forgotten case revived again with a new victim. By this point, I'm totally the same mind with Joowon about suspecting everyone... especially Dongsik. Even then, I wished that he himself would come clean about his failed sting mission to the others before things went south. That aside, I'm already so done with Dongsik acting like some bipolar maniac. Just when I thought that it may still be possible for him to be innocent he pulled that crazy laugh again omg.

Not sure what to type because the second episode had a lot of things to digest as well. But one thing we know of is that one of the two children from the last episode that has been identified as having the psycho genes grew up into a serial killer. And the kid that identified the Headhunter grew up to be a cop. Seeing Lee Heejun played a cop here intrigued me tbh, since he did cameoed in Vincenzo as a thug. But I guess the role fit him here, since after witnessing his mother and brother being attacked, the experience would've affected how Moochi had grown up. And we get to know our other lead Bareum. Mr Headhunter was still alive... and because of Moochi he found out that his son still lived. Ahn Jaewook as a villain was really something, like his acting really gives you a certain chill as this notorious serial killer. There's another serial killer on the loose as Moo-chi's on the hunt to catch the guy.Have to say, the plot was getting interesting though the pace is still a bit slow. It was implied that Bareum may be one of the two babies that had the psycho genes despite him being quite normal so far. The ending cliffhanger also somewhat confirmed it as we meet another seemingly psycho doctor. Who may as well be our culprit? Or maybe not.So far the murder cases were pretty interesting, like how outwardly it seemed unrelated but later revealed to be connected. I felt that the reveal of the son's identity was a bit too soon tbh and a bit obvious. In which it made me wonder if there would be an unexpected twist. Like it would've been interesting if Han Seojun's son turned out to be his complete opposite.

The first episode started pretty dark as we're introduced to a very gruesome murder case that would be a trigger that would make people want to attempt to eradicate anyone who could potentially grow up to become a psychopath. It was an interesting theory after all, to explain the reason why psychopath behaved the way they did and whether or not it was influenced by genetics et al. And it also pose a question whether or not such research was ethical as to gain control of the genetic data of people. And dilemma between trying to decide whether or not a child with such genes could become a problem later was quite interesting too. And that would lead to even more questionable decisions later on.So far the plot was quite interesting, tho it could be pretty hard to view the serial killer scenes at one go. That said, I have to praise the casting on this drama. Particularly for Ahn Jaewook.

OmG this episode.... trying so hard to keep a straight face over the unexpected fanservice and the funny attacks. And it's amazing that as much as Vincenzo did start to show more of himself to Cha-young, he still manages to avoid revealing the fact that he was consigliere to a mafia family. And the build upon this episode was really good as we finally get to see more of Vincenzo's ability as an advisor to the mafia and why the late head of the Cassano family trusted him more than his own son. It's a nice prelude to what battle would come next. And it's nice also to see that the people from the Geumga Plaza had started to have more respect towards Vincenzo. Seriously the end scene was top class ??????

Magnifico

If there's still anyone thinking that this drama was still no good, I don't know what you're on. Cos this the most excitement I've ever had for a kdrama ever since Fiery Priest. Was hoping that Lawyer Hong wouldn't die... but I guess that was inevitable. Half of me was already expecting the outcome regardless, yet I still hoped for some miracle. But hey, it's still a climactic turnaround which would have given enough reason for Chayoung to change sides, and it was so good. That said, it was amusing to see the NIS guy coming to Vincenzo's defence when the other tenants were doubting him. It made me wonder if the two could form an unlikely alliance in future.Anyway, it was so exciting to see Vincenzo becoming truly motivated to fight back against Babel and Wusang. And it's still so amazing that neither Chayoung and Mr Nam had wondered if Vincenzo was ever part of the mafia rather than him acting the way he did because that a standard practice of any Italian lawyers. And true to the Cassano tradition, Vincenzo had set fire on the horrid RDU drugs. Honestly I can't help finding parallels on his actions in this episode as well as the one in the first ep. Like in both cases, Vincenzo had fulfilled the last wishes of his 'bosses'. It's very cool also, that Mr Nam was a former SFX artist. And that later on Vincenzo received even more assistance from Lawyer Hong's past clients. It felt so heartwarming somehow. And whoa! That plot twist on Tacyeon's character! I was hoping that my suspicion might not be true... but it did turn out that way anyway. There were subtle hints around too. And I guess this will stop people from tryna question the casting choice for Song Joongki being the Mafia guy... like now you got Tacyeon being of similar double-faced character. Suppose later on the plot will revolve around the good mafia vs evil mobster, I guess.Have to say that the more the plot progressing. the more points I can find for my personal Park Jaebum checklist lol. At this rate we might even do a complete bingo list.

Whoa!

Such a turn of event! It was really so amusing seeing that NIS guy trying to check Vincenzo out. And being surprised at how this Italian consigliere seem to act like this kind person, scolding kids who've been smoking.... assisting the head monk with placing the heated pads (which was so hilarious, considering how the monk still haven't moved from his spot yet complying with Vincenzo's request to move a bit) and general being this neighbourhood cool guy.And it really took me off-guard, that Lawyer Hong turned out to be far more observant than I initially thought. And remembering and figuring out that Vincenzo was the son of the lady who he's been trying to help. Though it makes me wonder if the old guy also suspected that Vincenzo had some connection to the Mafia. That said, it seemed that the ex-procecutor Choi may be someone as dangerous as whoever that real chairman of Babel was. It makes me wonder what kind of morality she's holding since she's shady AF. Yet in the earlier episode she seemed to despise the lots who who misuses their powers (and still this is the same lady who can turn the most upright dude into a scum overnight!)And the white truck of doom paid us another visit. That was an intense cliffhanger omg and hopefully the casualties didn't end up real bad. But I guess this would be a good trigger to get Vincenzo to really fight back. Since so far he's only focused in trying to recover the hidden gold. But now he might as well show the bad guys how the Cassano familia do things compared to them.

Suspicion and distrust continued between Joowon and Dongsik as both tried to feel each other out. We get to see more on Dongsik's side as one may start to wonder whether or not he was really innocent, like... would it really be possible for someone like Dongsik who seemed to care a lot about people with mental disabilities as well as someone who had suffered a lot in the past 20 year could commit such heinous crimes. And yet with the cliffhanger at the end, that bit really catch you off guard. Is Dongsik really was the culprit? But this early in the game, I had to wonder if the reveal that we see was just a red herring. As in it's still too soon to fully conclude the case yet. That aside, it makes one wonder if there was something else beyond this serial murder case that we yet to find out. Because of all these other people who were trying so hard to cover up the case, it makes one wonder if there is some big secret that was hidden.

I'm immediately reminded of the setting of Tunnel from this drama, and well... if my assumption was correct the serial murder case that was used for reference for this drama should be the same. But unlike Tunnel, there was no timeslip involved this time. And in this drama, one half of the main investigator was also a suspect. I guess this would be what makes this drama different from Tunnel... as well as Signal. Like so far, this take on the narrative haven't been used yet. In which it would make the mystery even more intriguing.Somehow I wonder if the reason Shin Hakyun was cast as Lee Dongsik was due to his role in Less Than Evil. Because I can totally feel the same aura in both of the characters that Shin Hakyun played in both dramas.

Hehe

I'm growing to like the how Vincenzo and Lawyer Hong start to become closer with each other. Makes me wonder how the two's relationship would progress onwards considering their lives were already intertwined from the beginning. It amused me how everyone was still so clueless about Vincenzo being a Cassano familia consiglier; what with every single faction trying to form their own wannabe cartels. And that NIS guy was so funny. That aside, I guess the drama gonna be doing the running gag of Vincenzo not being able to properly eat/people not letting him to enjoy his food properly. Poor him XDCan't wait till the moment people found out that Vincenzo really have been raised by the Italian mafia or that his mother was the one Lawyer Hong was trying to help. It's so cute to see him slip back to Italian whenever he's frustrated yet having no one around who could actually understand what he was saying. That aside, I'm rather annoyed at that dude who claimed that he's such a good fighter when he's not. Compared to Chayoung that guy was the more annoying. But I guess there's a lot of pretenders at the plaza... like that fake Italian chef too.And I just realized that the actor that played as Chef Toto also played that evil Chief Procecutor in Fiery Priest, I'm so amused lol

The drama started on a good note! I'm getting some Nice Guy vibe a bit, since Vincenzo had a slight similarity with Kang Maru. Loved the comedy in this first episode, but then considering the screenwriter was the same person who did Fiery Priest and Chief Kim... it's of no surprise that the comedy hit the right notes for me. Choyoung gave me the same impression as Fiery Priest's Gyeongseon so I'll be looking forward to see if she'll end up joining the good guys later on.
