i thought the lighting effects and stuff was less annoying this time, or maybe i’m just used it bcs of rewatching…
It definitely improved compared to last time, no doubt… and there’s even an “uncut” version. I just hope the next one will be better and less 80s—something a bit more 2025.
At least they tried to make us assume what happened the night before(WSW). chinese isnt Thailand... so im not…
Thai shows aren’t necessarily better at these scenes—they just go to the other extreme with too much light. I wasn’t comparing it to Thai dramas, just to other scenes in the same show, which feel a bit more modern. This one feels old-fashioned, with the trumpet music, bokeh from the 80's and outdated cross-dissolves, even though the rest of the show feels modern.
Isn't that a way to 'censor' intimate scenes? I feel like it's understandable that they do things like that so…
I’m really not comparing it to Thai series—I’m comparing it to other scenes within the same show, like the kiss scenes, which are much better. I think it’s just poor editing, not censorship. Maybe that’s simply their approach to these scenes, using lights and cross dissolves to stretch a one-minute scene into three, but there are better ways to do that. I’m not the only one pointing it out—many people are complaining about it, so I was hoping they’d take it seriously.

I don't think it's censorship, because the behind-the-scenes footage is actually more daring and transparent. So in my opinion, it's just bad editing. Also, the dubbing is really bad—the sound itself. There are way too many loud breaths, and there's no proper balance like in the series "Desire," where the audio is more polished. You don't hear all those heavy breaths and unwanted noises in every line.
I like the scenes where there’s interaction between the main characters, but the background music is really bad, and the rest of the scenes are very slow and boring. The dubbing of the main character Hua Yong is extremely monotone—like a robot. It’s a bit disappointing and takes away from the enjoyment of watching.
guys ... be honest ... did they edit out the love scene? I'm struggling to believe they didn't.Im not one of those…
I’m starting to think it’s just poor editing. All these cross dissolves, blurs, and lighting effects are seriously bad editing. The rest of the series isn’t edited like this at all. And the behind-the-scenes footage is way bolder than this edit, so I no longer think it’s about censorship.
Please do not post intimate scenes on socials we still have a long way to go I dont want this drama to be canceled…
What’s the point of writing here? Who even looks at this? Everyone posting it are Chinese or Asian users who aren’t even here. And anyway, the behind-the-scenes footage is way bolder than the scenes in the actual series, which are constantly blurred. Ugh… it’s so frustrating.
12 episode was funny and excellent, but once again they fumbled the intimate scene. It’s unclear why they use transitions like cross dissolves, blurring, and lighting effects, and then cut the moment short. It’s such a shame.
I think Ziyu is overall a talented actor — don’t get me wrong (I’m sure some of you will get annoyed) but he really struggles with crying scenes. He has a hard time with them, and even the dubbed crying isn’t convincing. You can sense his difficulty, especially in behind-the-scenes moments, to truly connect with crying. It’s still a good scene, but it could’ve been much better if he had focused more on developing that weakness. That said, it seems there won’t be any more crying scenes ahead, based on his hints
It’s not the best series ever, but still, you can’t deny that even a mediocre one is full of emotion and humanity. There’s just no escaping it... Japanese dramas are always the best when it comes to romance.
