Title Weirdo-101
Cheewa isn't just a nerd, he's probably neurodivergent (autism). And many of them do act and speak like him.
I don’t think that’s what the screenwriter intended. In any case, autism isn’t associated with robotic speech either. Quite the opposite-autistic people can be very emotional and expressive, both in the way they speak and in their behavior.

I watched Episode 6 live, and it was such a beautiful episode, as usual. I didn’t expect that ending at all. I thought it would be resolved in the usual “I love you too” kind of way, but instead it ended with, “I’m not sure. Maybe we can figure it out together,” and I thought that was really good.

What I especially like is the way they’re developing this storyline because it doesn’t feel standard or predictable. That response also fit Sota’s character perfectly because he’s such a thoughtful and level-headed person.

Sota has become one of my favorite characters, and the actor portrays him so perfectly. He really captures everything about the character.

Title Weirdo-101
Ep 2
There’s something really sweet about the male lead. He feels very natural, his acting is excellent and authentic, and he’s very charming. The second male lead is doing a great job too, but I think they went a bit too far with his robotic way he speaks. Even people who are very rational and intellectual still speak like human beings. They may come across as cold sometimes, but they still talk normally. Here, it feels a little exaggerated. In the first episode it was really cute, but in the second episode it started to bother me a little. I really hope the way he speaks softens as the series goes on.

Overall, there’s something very sweet about the series, and I also really like the production style. It feels more traditional and clean, almost more like a film, rather than the style you often see in GMMTV series with all the flashy visuals and constant facial close-ups. This is filmed in a more old-school style, and I appreciate that much more.

I also really like that neither of them dyed their hair. It makes a big difference visually. That’s one of the things I like most about productions like this — it feels much more authentic.

R rated? Hardly, I wish Jdrama ratings would standardize themselves. it seems like some rando is deciding what…
I completely agree. This series was very cute and interesting all the way through. The site may be based in Texas, There’s a certain community in Texas... those who know, know. its owner appears to have political interests and connections to China. A lot of the commenters here also seem to love Chinese dramas, and there are some pretty bizarre political articles too. In short, it feels like the site is being used for political purposes, not just entertainment.

I didn’t get anger violence vibes not in the way someone truly dangerous is. What I saw was someone troubled…
He keeps remembering his parents yelling, and it was filmed in a way that suggested violence — shadows, darkness, anxiety. There was also a hint from his colleague at work, who said that his stare was frightening and threatening. Later, the colleague warned her that he wanted to control her. His looks were full of anger, but he didn’t know how to express it and said nothing. Then he hugged her forcefully, and eventually there was a scene between them that led to a crisis and was filled with tension. Basically, there was no actual violence, but there was a constant suggestion that it was about to happen -It had the feel of a psychological thriller.

Tee really is an excellent actor. He’s incredibly captivating, both in his looks and his presence. He has everything. The role he had at the beginning, with such a complex character, suited him perfectly. It’s a shame they suddenly flattened his character.

Ep 9
I decided to drop it.Heng’s terrible acting made it impossible for me to keep watching. Especially when he’s supposed to express emotions like love or grief, it’s simply unwatchable.
On top of that, the whole thriller element disappeared, as if it had turned into a completely different show.

They used to make great straight romance series too, but that just doesn’t happen anymore... so it’s not really…
25 years of you - I watched it without subtitles, and it brought up some uncomfortable feelings for me. I don’t really connect with that kind of style, especially when a stalker is being romanticized. Of course, that could also be because I watched it without subtitles.

Hmmm, as a fan of the manga, this adaptation's casting feels so disappointing. They don't embody Wataru and Chiharu…
I haven’t read the manga. I have mixed feelings about the series. I really like the actors, and I also enjoy watching it, but it would be interesting to read the manga and see whether I get the same feelings from it.

I think manga is almost like a book in the sense that many of the emotions you experience as a reader can come from your own interpretation, unlike a film, which is already the producer’s interpretation. Usually, they seem to follow fairly strict standards when it comes to staying as accurate and neutral as possible, but I’d have to read the manga to really know.

I’m also quite surprised that it wasn’t adapted from a novel, but from a manga instead.

Their relationship is so trapped in the concept of being in-love that they can’t seem to bring themselves to a place of actual love and communication. I suppose that’s natural, since they hadn’t seen each other for such a long time and then reconnected, but they’re both so insecure, and neither of them is willing to take the initiative, which creates this uncomfortable sense of suffocation.

Right now, I’m not sure whether a relationship that begins with such intense infatuation can actually develop into love. There’s so much insecurity. involved in that kind of infatuation.

Maybe that’s also connected to the title of the series — as if it’s the memory of a one-time summer, something temporary or fleeting? I don’t know. It’s entirely possible that it will end on an open or sad note.

I did a bit of mini-research on this, But in short, BL is usually written by women and for women,
The reason they took romantic series and replaced the woman with a man is often quite obvious, like in this series, where the man is very feminine, hesitant, insecure .
Women seem to prefer seeing themselves within the relationship without the stereotypes and limitations of gender. That may also be why, in BL, they often never explicitly say that the man is “gay”

There’s a lot more to it, but I find it frustrating that they’ve reduced the number of normal straight romance series. It’s not that they don’t exist, but the female characters are completely different from what they were 10 years ago.

Which series are on your list?

The more BL I watch from Japan, China, and Taiwan, the more I hate Thai BL. Unfortunately, the latter are so overrated…
Thais don’t have the same demand for quality or pursuit of perfection, It’s part of their culture. and that’s why they don’t improve.
