i love their reactions. Kuma worked on the character with Zelia, he wasn't just following her directions, so he has some interesting insight. on youtube you can also find translated livestreams. Guo ge (i don't remember his actual name), who plays the assistent in the drama, his actually Zelia's assisentant, they're kind of a big family (Zelia's own daughter works on the set too)

i think one of the themes of the series is acceptance of things you can't change (like in the case of Lan jie's death), life and death are one and we'll be back to the origin. so i guess he'll move in this direction (or so i hope, i've been fooled by this show before.)

it's the way the autor wanted to tell this story, it has a meaning and ripercussions on future events for sure. i also think it's her way to bare her heart. Zelia is a buddhist and you can find buddhist elements throughout the show, it may be hard to understand for us, but it is the way it is. i understand you need time to process it, afterall you were hit by a loss yourself, but give the show and yourself a little more time

many are really young and like bls as a way to escape reality on one side, on the other side to feel and experience feelings in a controlled environment by proxy (the land of dreams). that's in my opinion way they resist when reality crushes in. see how many are respoinding to the last episode? (i don't know if you watched it yet). also some approached this drama as a classic bl, which is not, so they came looking for that familiar feeling and they're disappointed they can't find it
