i'm at episode 28 and despite all the writers effort to make the Jins look like villains i can't help but empatize with people who are fighthing for their own surivival. how is the 6th prince evil? he's trying to save his country from the Mongols whatever it takes.if you think about this father and son are such tragic characters that better writers would have developed a lot better than they are here and still i root for them instead that for the heroes
it can be anything. some dramas are shelved for years, others never see the light of the day. maybe some of the crew got into troubles, maybe the investors pulled out. we'll never know
this cast (from the leads to the extras) deserved better than this hot mess, we deserved better. the script is all over the place, investigations randomly mixed up with basic romcom tropes with a sprinkle of second hand embarassment commedy (the lowest point is the shop war) and some wish fulfillment scenes. to think that the first episode is brilliant. what a missed opportunity. if you're Luo Yunxi's or Cheng Lei's fan don't watch it, just look for some videos.
according to MarcusHere the drama is keeping this title and i don't know how i feel about it...i mean better than bloossoming love of power but still...what was wrong with the original name?
