It's definitely a bl. There's a lot of adaptations that are still in the loop. Sure similar theme but still quite…
Eternal Faith, Immortality and Winner is King. all three adapted from popular danmei, shot years ago and never saw the light of the day

all cbls are shot and produced outsite of China to get around the ban, probably producers saw this goldmine and found a way to mine it. the gouvernment still gets in the way, all the actors involved in bls are banned (Xixi got faceswapped in a drama)

why what? the rights? there's no hope for the shelved dramas, they're never going to air. the only hope to see them is if somebody buys the rights of the novels and makes a new adaptation. all three of the shelved dramas are big budget historicals, so they need investors and lot of money. no one is willing to invest huge sums in a niche genre that won't bring them money

i cought up with all the episodes, despite some confusion for the sudden change of scenes and mood i'm enjoying it, i'm also enjoying the mains healthy love story. but black clouds are gathering over the peaceful tea mountains and troubles are coming in the shape of a resentful manipulative a*shole and the toxic entertainment fandom.

i have to tell you i'm scared πŸ˜… i'm not ready for more heartbreaks and long separations...i just finisged Double Helix

it's not all of them, of course, but those that are crazy are reaaaaaaaaaally bananas. they manage to spoil the whole thing for the rest of us. so the fewer the merrier (ps, i'm european too. are you from Spain?)

I watched episode one and I came here just now to say the cinematography is amazing. The 'scenes' in the credits…
i had no problem with the subs either. also i find the mountain part vibe so relaxing. Cbls are getting better with every new drama that airs
