This episode was one of my favorites! I LOVE playfully teasing Hua Yong frfr š„° Now that ShaoYou is his, he can let his happy obsessively loving flag fly free and open. Iām here for this era and canāt wait for ShaoYou to find out that heās an enigma, not an alpha. The look on his face will be priceless. On that note, pouting ShaoYou is super cute. I know that. Hao Yong feels the same āŗļø. (The super speed effects made me chuckle in an amused way And can I say I want cabinets like that?!!!! How many organs will I need to sell to afford it?)
Our obtuse WenLang is reaching critical mass. His era of awareness and longing will start soon. Only 4 episodes left. Iām interested in his mate-seeking scene. All this time, I wish Gao Tu would finally be honest. What does he have to lose at this point? The laws prevent WenLang from following through on the abortion threat. He knows that objectively, I think, but his emotions are clouding his judgment. As usual. These two are a mess. Unfortunately, they stay that way for most of the book.
Ah well I live for Hua Yong and ShaoYou anyway. I donāt even care about the Hua Yong haters. Heās my #1 favorite character in the novel and on screen. š„°š„°š„°š„°š„°No shame. No apologies. Just adoration.

Thatās real. I didnāt cry for either- Iām not a crier- but there were some hella sad parts. Both dramas were hella entertaining though, in different ways. Iām watching Desire, too. CBLs are serving this year. And Iām sat for every one, regardless of the ending.

Their YouTube page doesnāt have a 13th episode. Neither does Gaga, so itās probably wrong if thatās the only source thatās showing another episode.
I have a feeling that the red wedding robes theyāre wearing in the credit clips are all ZiAngās delirium and they both probably die next episode. ZiAng from his illness and ShuHe from suicide or HuaiYiās orders. The only HEA these two get is in death. Thatās my take.

I agree. Heās been stuck there for 5 years. The throne he sat on was paved with so much loss for him- his father, brother, and ZiAng. Plus the future he had hoped for himself. I do understand ZiAng though. What person would willingly allow the one they love to sacrifice themself in such a way? It was both an easy choice and an impossible one for ZiAng, killing the Crown Prince.
This love ZiAng has for ShuHe is toxic. Yet I canāt help but want a happy ending where theyāre together. Though the poison damaging ZiAngās body doesnāt seem like it will let them find happiness for long, even if they do manage to overcome this vast ocean of betrayal, blood, and pain.
ZiAng is obsessed with ShuHe and wants him to have that life of peace. He wants to be by his side while he has it, sheltering and shouldering everything for him. Heās blinded by this goal so much that he hasnāt really listened to what ShuHe has been saying for so long. He didnāt understand or accept ShuHeās sense of familial duty and responsibility to his kingdom. Even now, ZiAng doesnāt really care about his own kingdom or people- All that heās done was to return to ShuHeās side (or have ShuHe return to his side at this point).
As far as those guards who punished him, Iām sure ZiAng made their heads roll. I donāt think he would tolerate them breathing after hurting his ShuHe.
I understand ZiAngās caution, but his love for ShuHe will always override that because he wants to believe they can be together and that ShuHe will recognize ZiAngās actions were made for him. Heās cautious right now, but he wonāt be able to help himself on the next episode. His obsession and desire to have ShuHe wonāt let him hold ShuHe at a distance to ensure heās sincere for long. Love is blind.
Only 2 more episodes. I wish there were more. I am loving this true Chinese historical BL. Weāve come a LONG way, fellow BL fans.
