also for anyone curious, from what i've seen it will start airing on july 26th!
GagaOOLala has the release time as 7/27 at 9am TST (Taiwan Standard Time or GMT +8) whatever time that translates to where the viewer is. For me, it’s 6pm on the 26th. (I put it in my calendar with the time zone and it auto-calculated my local time since I’m bad with time zones- I’m GMT-7 or PST if that helps).

In the manhwa, he didn't know what it meant. All he saw was that it looked cool, so he got it.
Right. And we don’t know why in that location because the manhwa doesn’t explain it. It is conveniently placed for the story development, though. Somethingnone may only get a good look at in *ahem ahem* “certain” positions…

Am at ep 5 now and find it funny that Sunny doesn't know of his existence yet given the most famous photographer…
Sunny is self-absorbed. He’s to focused on himself and likely doesn’t even consider looking at the most famous photographer in Thailand’s social media because he didn’t photograph him. He’s busy trying to destroy the manager through whatever way he can.

I’m still at eps. 4. Perhaps I should concentrate on just one BL at a time. But you’re easily distracted when…
It’s not that the actor is ordinary- the manhwa describes the character as ordinary looking. Minlee is definitely not ordinary. 🫰🏽So the scriptwriter kept that in for his description. I also don’t think the actor playing Sunny is as good looking as the manhwa described him. (Personal perception.) This happens a lot in dramas, I think. We viewers just have to pretend our eyes don’t work 🤫

we have one more episode left after episode 9 and I still haven't seen him get revenge for his brother.
Just like in the manhwa, he gets his in the very end.

Truly. Parts I had to skip past because of this. I can’t wait for that old man’s take-down.

With the way the world is, where the rich and powerful can get away with pretty much everything, such depravities…
Epstein involved many international and prominent figures across 10 or so countries. It does not, in fact, happen just in Asian countries. Corruption doesn’t have a nationality. Unfortunately. If it hasn’t happened in Australia, it could very well be because someone super powerful likely hasn’t yet been caught, not that Australia is free of corruption. Since you pointed it out, my friend, I must ask: wasn’t the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in 2013 and 2017 a response to finally uncovering decades of corruption in Australia’s government, religious and sporting institutions? Or the Wollongong Development Scandal of 2008, which was a bribery and sex for favors sort of scandal?

Just saying. No country is immune to such corruption. Money covers all kinds of horrors that takes brave whistleblowers to expose. Asia is definitely not the only continent with this problem.

Today's episode was really good but I'm wondering when will the revenge be taken i really want a happy ending…
Definitely coming next week. If it’s close to the manhwa, it’ll be pretty satisfying.

What the hell with that ending?
It’s following the manhwa with some revisions. Sun does end up that way, though the circumstances are a bit different.

Came here after watching the Eternal Fragrance for SWL ofc but I am struggling with this drama I’m on episode…
She matures a bit as the episodes progress. I’m not sure if you noticed, but it stuck out to me when she was talking to the Liang family maid about her hands being rough, she mentioned she was the same age- 16 or 17. It’s reasonable that she’s like this at this point. Especially since she essentially grew up without her mother. Looks like her foster mother wasn’t much of a guide to her as she could/should have been- that seems like a superficial relationship. Her maids are likely younger (though the taller one seems like she’s older because of her mature responses and ability to understand situations). I think she gets better later on. I’m on episode 21 (about 2 months into their marriage). I admit that I was a bit annoyed at the major misunderstanding she has with the prince at this point (ep 18 or 19) and how she refused to even give him a chance. She was definitely all woe is me and we are done. The turn around when the truth is revealed gave me whiplash. I do wonder how old Prince Dingbei is supposed to be. And how is he related to the emperor? How is he a prince? I haven’t figured it out. Wondering if I missed something in an earlier episode…Either way, Song WeiLong is super steamy. The swag walk. The height he has over others…

Title A Chan
Um…Ai Mi is 18. What minor? there is a 10 year real life age gap, but she’s 18.
I commented on your post before I realized how unreasonable you are. My bad for not realizing you were attempting to rage-bate by bringing up age and disregarding the laws put in place to protect minor actors in the Chinese entertainment industry and judging another country that’s not your own. She had ONE incident of the director saying something inappropriate (that he thought they developed “real feelings” for each other based on their acting) during a promotion event, and that director immediately went under fire globally as a result. The director is at fault- why should AiMi not be given the opportunity to advance her career because this director is an idiot? Who are you to determine what roles she is or is not suited for? Are you her parent? Are you her agency? Are you the Chinese government?

I doubt the director for A Chan will make the same mistake.

If she films a romance now that she’s 18 and they pair her with a 30 year old and they have a kiss scene, will you feel differently? After all, she’s barely legal. (Rhetorical because I actually don’t care what you think. At this point. Acrually, from the moment you decided to start insulting me rather than having a reasonable discussion like an adult.)

I’m done with your repeated “her age makes her a target” nonsense. Literally one comment and you’re making it a “thing”. 🙄This is my last response to you. Watch it or not. I don’t care. I will be eagerly anticipating this drama and rooting for this to be a success despite her age in an essentially G-rated “romance” drama.

watched ep1 and i want to watch more, does anyone know if the rest of eps will stay only membership or not
It looks like they’re releasing “All Ages” versions of future episodes on their channel, about a week after the Members Only version releases. Though they’ve only dropped the “clean” version of Ep2 so far.

My only complaint is that this is too short 😩I truly enjoyed this drama. 🙂‍↕️Well executed and great acting.

I was like, The SAME spot?! Bro can’t catch a break. Makes the earlier incident seem like a foreshadowing.

Exactly. I bring up laws and this person ignores it, choosing to throw insults instead. This is not a western country. This is not a democratic country. They operate much differently, so they will follow censorship laws or risk never airing. It’s simple.

People in AiMi’s own country aren’t concerned because they know the laws, so expect a very clean romance. It’s only westernized mindsets like this person throwing fits about her age.

Also, not that it is applicable in the entertainment industry, which has the very strict protections for minors casted, but China’s age of consent is 16.

And, fun fact: There are only 15 out of 50 states in the USA (where I’m from) with an age of consent at 18; most are set to 16 or 17. In the UK, the age of consent is also…16. This person uses an insult common in people from the UK, so I’m assuming they’re from a western country, specifically the UK. Why are they so outraged when their own country’s age of consent is 16?

In the end, just don’t watch if if you have a problem with the very clean PG rated romance this drama will have. Not even that’s, more like G because there will be NO kissing scenes, like in KTHPH due to censorship laws.
