i cant believe she started appearing in dramas from just 2016...and all her dramas are amazing aaand shes already…
Kim Taeri studied Communications and Journalism at university with the aim of being a broadcaster. In her 2nd year, she joined the theatre club for fun and caught the acting bug. After graduation, she worked backstage at a theatre company for a year, then moved to the front of the stage. She did a few student and short films, and supported herself by modelling and doing ads.
Although KTR looks young for her age, she ironically "failed" many auditions because she was judged "too old" to be a rookie. She wasn't going to audition for The Handmaiden because it was an intimidating major film with a big-name director, but one of the producers saw her talent agency profile and persuaded her to try out. KTR was a "late bloomer" but she's quickly become one of the best actresses of her generation.
Six out of seven Baeksang judges voted for Kim Taeri to win the Best Actress award. She was considered for the Daesang, but was cut after the first round of voting.
This article explains how the awards were decided:
The lead actress won the award against IU. That mean her acting must be good but the overall rating of the show…
This drama previously had a rating of 8.7, but recent review bombing for unknown reasons has dropped it down. This 8.5 rating isn't an accurate reflection of this drama's quality.
Everyone has different tastes, so you should try a drama instead of relying solely on ratings and reviews. I highly recommend Jeongnyeon.
i dont usually rely on mld ratings n reviews anyways, but wow i js went through all of them n i cant believe some…
Mr Sunshine's rating always used to be 8.9 (and Revenant & Jeongnyeon were 8.7), but they have all recently dropped at the same time. It appears there's been a concerted campaign to give low scores and drop the ratings. Don't know why! 😬
An un-popular, I guess, opinion (mainly) about the FLI'm half-way through atm and even though I watch because…
There are brief rehearsal scenes later in the drama. The writer had to condense a 100-chapter webtoon into 12 episodes, so she had to cut out a lot of things.
In the webtoon, the FL is 16 (not 19), so that's why she's quite reckless. Later episodes show the FL's struggles and growing maturity.
Congratulations to the cast and crew for their 2025 Baeksang Arts Awards nominations. The award ceremony will…
PS - it's surprising and disappointing that Jeongnyeon didn't get nominated for Best Drama, given that it's a quality production with cultural significance.
i was eagerly waiting for this and then it came out and i saw the ending and booom i still didn't watch this after…
This drama is much, much more than its infamous ending, and is definitely worth watching.
The ending is indicated right from the beginning, so nothing has been spoiled for you. If you pay attention to what the leads say throughout the show and don't try to twist the narrative, then you'll be fine.
I have rewatched 25 21 countless times and have never been bored.
Congratulations to Kim Taeri for her Best Actress nomination (Jeongnyeon) for the 2025 Baeksang Arts Awards! The ceremony will be on 5 May 2025. 🎉🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

⭐️ Best Actress: Kim Taeri. ⭐️ Best Supporting Actress: Oh Kyung Hwa and Jung Eun Chae. ⭐️ Best Director: Jung Ji In. ⭐️ Best Technical Achievement Award: Music.
KTR was paid a fair market rate, and probably received a lot less than many male stars. Considering she worked for 3 years on the drama, she totally deserves her salary.
Why do you stalk the pages for Kim Taeri's works when you hate them? This is such a toxic obsession!
Mr Sunshine dropping to 8.8 is a crime. Should be at 9.0
Yes, wtf! Jeongnyeon and Revenant have also dropped recently! 😬 Maybe it's the fans of a certain actress who were jealous that Taeri won the Daesang at the Apan Star Awards....🤷🏻♀️
The screaming during fencing makes her look so dumb
Screaming is a common occurence in fencing to emphasize a point, express emotions, or unsettle the opponent. Kim Taeri was trained by Olympians to give a realistic portrayal.
the age gap between the ML and FL is 21 yrs it's s ooff putting its hard to watch it wouldn't bother. The FL is…
Your antipathy towards Kim Taeri's works is well documented and it's ever so slightly amusing how weirdly obsessed you are. If you're deliberately going out of your way to stalk these pages and post your antagonistic comments, at least get your facts right (and this is at least the second time you've posted incorrect information). In the drama, the ML was supposed to be 12 years older, but irl the gap was 20 years, not 21 years. Lee Byung-Hun was born in 1970 and Kim Taeri was born in 1990. Furthermore, Yoo Yeon-Seok was born in 1984, Kim Min-Jung was born in 1982 and Byun Yo-Han was born in 1986, so none of them is 13 years older than Kim Taeri.
Mr Sunshine's renown writer and director asked Kim Taeri to play Go Aeshin before she had even read the script. They obviously had a lot of faith in her because it was a huge budget production and she was a drama rookie. The drama was one of the best rating of all time, with the final episode having the highest viewership numbers (18.129% nationwide and 21.828% in Seoul). If people shared your minority opinion that Kim Taeri was miscast and that the age-gap between leads was off-putting, then surely the ratings would've decreased with each episode instead of increasing.
Remember, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!

Shin Yeeun and the rest of the cast practised singing & dancing for up to one year.
