Taeri's selective about scripts and likes to challenge herself, so you won't see her churning out cookie cutter dramas. Her training for JN over the last 3 years was grueling and she definitely deserves a long break to recharge! We need to clone her! 🤩

I think the director had to make a lot of compromises due to the long gap between releases of part 1 and 2. I'd love to see him do a director's cut and release it as a 6 or 8 part drama.

After MOG abandoned Maeran and YJN, there's no way she would've dared showed her face again at the theatre and she probably didn't care anyway. In the epilogue there's a clip of her being successful in movies, but apparently this wasn't the case in the webtoon (I haven't read it).
I don't think there needed to be a conversation between YJN and her mother, as they had already reconciled. It was enough that her mother was in the audience.

IMO Mr Sunshine is one of the all-time greats and definitely worth watching, but everyone has different tastes. I suggest that you watch at least four episodes and see if you like it. The first episode might be a little confusing with lots of characters introduced and the timelines aren't clear, so you can Google a character relationship chart to help.
Once you start watching, the age gap isn't really an issue because the leads have great chemistry. The romance is handled beautifully and definitely doesn't show too much.
If you don't like the romance between the main couple, then there are other shipping options!

No, the 1950s setting is crucial because that's when women's traditional theatre was the most popular. There aren't many dramas set in this period, so it's a nice change.
