Yes, exactly, as I said, I know it's interchangeable, as I said in the main post. In the subs, Sun is calling her a she, to Mujin, in ep 7, even though, of course only Sun knows she's a girl. We know Sun is actually referring to a he, but the subs aren't reflecting that, before ep eighteen. Characters who don't know she is a 'she', call her 'she', before ep eighteen, because of the subs. They do this, because subbers know she is a she. As I said, this is my only gripe with the subs. The Eagles don't all know she's a she, before a certain point, so the subs from them should be 'he'.
I was just CHECKING something,in ep 5, I look at the time, it's almost 10PM, and somehow I'm now on ep 13? I was just looking something up, but it all flows, like some waterfall and you're freaking powerless to stop the eps from rolling by. Water under the bridge.

Because of this confusion, I don't know when or IF Sun slipped up and accidentally called her 'she', at any point, before the reveal. It seems like he may have slipped up, wen he and Mujin are leaving the city, and sun says; 'but she/he is still there' About CG being in the city. Mujin seemingly goes 'she?' But he could as well be asking 'he?' and not be understanding that Sun's friend still hasn't left the city.

Yes, they do, but nobody else knows she's a girl, in his surroundings, but those people still call her she. They shouldn't be using the word 'she' when addressing her, and still not know she is female. He wouldn't be calling her a she, talking to people who clearly don't know she is a she.,or they'd be confused. The romance is one of the best. As this is one of the least toxic male leads you will ever see in Chinese cinema. This cannot be judged by the usual drama standard, this isn't slow burn, as you know and understand it. I suggest you just start watching, and try to sleep before ep15, I remind you now, because I assume you too have a life outside of The Long Ballad, and you don't wanna die in front of a device.
This drama has the most comments in Chinese mydramalist history. That's really all you need to know, going in.
My only real gripe with the subbers. This is the only one that ever truly bothered me. You've all done such a great job, fantastic service to all of us and we're eternally grateful.
