it's gotten to the point where writers are afraid to experiment with stories because they don't want to deal with potential (unjust) backlash. No wonder only rom-coms or your run-of-the-mill makjangs blow up in popularity. both of these are genres you can watch with your brains turned off and there's clear distinctions in good and evil.

so is it the scamming you have a problem with? or her being a woman? because there have been so many instances of scammers as main characters in kdramas before,and they were always celebrated for being Robin Hoods, eat the rich etc.

so many people traditionally get into marriages because of good relations with family, acquaintances etc. Would it be okay if she got close to him through his daughter if she wasn't a grifter? Yes, her intentions are not noble, but that just brings me back to the first point about her being a scammer.

yes she slept with the husband and you can hate on that all you want but no hate for the man who cheated on his wife with her? just because this was a targeted attempt, absolves him of any blame? I don't think so. It's pure misogyny is what it is.

the grifters are literally the driving force of moving the story forward because the heroes are stuck in their lives, I can't believe people would rather not have them. it's crazy town up in here

can I ask what exactly did the FL do that makes her irredeemable?

people are insane, grouping the FL with proper criminals and they only have the example of the first husband to call her out on since the second one was obviously abusive. my point is, if the first husband was such a good guy, and it was indeed the women at fault for seducing him, why did he get seduced? does self control not exist for men?
I've never seen such quick and absolutely horrendous judgment being made about a character.

imagine if she was, actually, just a straight up villain, people would probably lose their minds entirely.

the fat suit is atrocious yes, I wish they found a way around it with filmmaking shortcuts, cgi etc, OR just did a little more research into plus size bodies because different people have different body types, you don't have to emphasize on a person being fat by stuffing their face and giving them a double chin.

the FL hate in these comments is atrocious, y'all are wildin'. but hey, at least there's more traffic on the page. the second episode was so damn good, especially the initial mall interaction with the frame rates jumping all over the place. such a satisfying yet simple visual that functioned so well in putting the audience in Da Hae's state of mind.

this is a bit of a rant that doesn't apply to just this drama, but a trend I've observed across other dramas as well when it comes to MDL comments. I think this highlights a deeper underlying issue but I see this so often I had to say something. every time we see a morally-grey, even douche-baggy ML, the comments are always glorifying and/or thirsting over them. The FLs however, are not held to the same standard, and people are so so quick to judge these FICTIONAL women on morality and how their actions are right/wrong. The double standards are just hilarious.

that's a good strategy because then you'll be like 1/3 of the way through and in my personal experience, that gives a good idea of how the rest of the drama will turn out (unless they pull out some incredibly insane plot twists).

for me, absolutely. The ending of the first episode alone makes you want to immediately watch the next one because you need the answers! Judging from the preview of episode 2, I'd say there's going to be a lot more action in it, the first one was relatively calmer in comparison.

that bawling part is so real, I can't recall which scene it was exactly but I thought to myself, oh boy, I'm gonna cry my eyes out with this, aren't I?

First episode is pretty fun considering how much information they told the audience while also concealing important details. It did feel a little choppy at times but I don't blame them because they only have twelve episodes to tell this entire story.

so far, one big negative would be the character arc of Bok Dong Hee (the sister). I hate the whole joking about her weight, having her constantly stuff her face and the buttons falling off her clothes because they don't fit. It's stupid and immature and takes away the charm from an otherwise quite decently written script.

I've felt chemistry between the actors ever since the photoshoot and their first interview together. Maybe it's just me, lol. But they're great together so far.

I initially thought it was the mom who willingly took her life but reading your comment makes sense because the dad did say that he'll protect the kid through the bunny so she could've done that hypnosis thing (her eyes changed color) to make him come and save her but he couldn't in time.
