Ending left a pretty unsavory aftertaste (not in a good way). Jung Won was a pretty compelling character and it would have been interesting to see her in a better written drama.
I'm also super pissed and need to vent, BUT Jae Yi should have gone to her fiancé immediately after she got kicked out of the Eastern palace and revealed all that she knew so far. If anyone would have listened to her at that moment, it would be the man who has loved her all this time. Alas, that would essentially mean the end of the romance the writers are trying to force between the leads. It's so telling that they can't even bear to give the two (Jae Yi and the Sergeant) more scenes together because they know there's not enough substance in their main male lead that would justify a romance between him and the FL down the line. I'm gonna keep watching and hoping that I'm completely wrong by the end of this but knowing this is a kdrama that is definitely not gonna happen.
On episode 7 right now and the ML has no business being this offended by the unfolding events. If anything, the Sergeant should be reacting the way he is. Yet that man, without any of the ML's privileged intel, chose to speak nothing but facts. Seriously, for all his intelligence and suspicious nature, the Crown Prince didn't waste a second in believing a random piece of paper. The girlies need to band together along with the adorable coroner and figure things out on their own because everyone else is shite.
Not enough Gabby appreciation in the comments here and it's really a shame. She was hands down leagues beyond anyone else in personality, charisma, heart and just overall.
Also Jun Hee: *stands silently in the corner of the room while So Mi argues with Ji Soo and then silently leaves with her.*
