I could be wrong, but I don't think it's been revealed yet how he got it

just started episode 7 and I'm shocked at how well adjusted yu jing xiu seems to be despite his helicopter parent upbringing, I thought he would be a pathetic, spoiled little mama's boy with no backbone lol.

the child actor was phenomenal! especially for a short drama, outperforming kids in proper productions, hope she gets bigger and better opportunities

Title My Bias, My Boss Spoiler
I find chan's character deeply intriguing but it also seems too heavy for the kind of drama this is. I haven't read the webtoon so I don't know how it goes, and whether they will do it justice but it's very clear that something is deeply off with him. he's very clearly stuck in the past and seems to be suffering from some vague kind of peter pan syndrome. I didn't find any of his interactions with dareum endearing in episode 4. first it felt a little like love bombing, now it feels like he's trauma dumping on her, and there's an unspoken burden of the role of a comfort giver on her end, especially with the whole “everyone leaves me” thing.

we often acknowledge power dynamics in boss employee relationships but I think a fan celebrity dynamic has similar if not worse implications. I don't think chan will do anything to harm her, but their dynamic is sometimes uncomfortable to watch.

I'm very curious to know exactly what happened in the past because he's exhibiting clear signs of depression and needs help lol. idk if he'll end up getting it though I really do hope so.

I don't think anyone but kim hye jun could've made nam da reum so damn likeable, it takes serious talent to not come across as complete cringe in this type of role, I am in awe!

because korea still has that backwards hoeshik culture where you can't refuse drinks offered by your superiors,…
but that's the thing, if you watched further you would see that when she comes back to work the next day everyone is hi fiving her or giving her a thumbs up that she did really well at the party the previous night, so they do think of it as a great and enthusiastic impression.

I've only been able to see the first two episodes available on YouTube so far, but I really really like the way all the women: good, bad, in between, are written so far. you don't need to be on their side to understand why they act the way they do. I know ya ke’s about to do some madness in the upcoming episodes based on the edits I've been seeing everywhere, but I like that the drama took at least two episodes to build up to it, and gave her enough screen time where I genuinely feel bad for her. She's a very compelling character to me, so are all the women, old and young. Excited to watch a story that actually takes its time to unfold for once.

The dynamic between the leads is also super compelling, for once it seems there is actual dislike on both sides and not just forced hatred for the sake of tropes. I have nothing against tropes I quite like them when they're done well. Excited to see what happens next!

because korea still has that backwards hoeshik culture where you can't refuse drinks offered by your superiors, and cannot skip out on these office parties either or you'll lose connections. you do always see dramas highlighting this toxicity, but it never seems to fully go away. hence why the ML sending her home early was presented as a gesture of care lol.
