Saw s/o say they didn't expect this screenwriter to write sth like this but then I remembered The royal feast…
yeah and I'm all for "accurate historical depiction" but ffs don't put a dreamy filter and quirky music over it to romanticise what's happening. that's all I ask for. Dramas like this and Royal Feast are really just a big self-insert fantasy circle jerk for the show makers notorious for treating their actors like shit
and it's without any reason because everyone knows all these two smart people need is to have a single uninterrupted…
yeah, I said it too. it's not happening. it was just a joke. but with all the times they've met and talked on their own (I'm not counting their chaperones because they'll always be around) makes it very much possible for two smart people to have a civil conversation which this drama obviously won't. it's so funny when comments like this are all about what was right and customary in the era but within the same breath will say things like, it's just a light romcom don't take it too seriously and suspend the logic.
idk about character development but we definitely saw his character regress today lmao
i think you misread my comment because most of what you said is exactly what I've been saying. only place I'll disagree is you saying I want a perfect ML. I don't. it would be boring. what I'm saying is he can be cunning and manipulative without putting the people he loves at risk and actively harming them to get his way. he can be smart and even have a mean streak without treating his loved ones like dirt on his shoes. that's all.
I came here because of this amazing fu ling x chong zhao edit only to find out they're not the leads 😠makes sense honestly, I've never seen a pair like this be the main leads ever. I know I'm in for heartbreak but should I even bother? or should I just stick to the edits
yes but his words and actions don't match, that's all I'm saying. She does a better job of silently understanding him through his actions than he does at all.
I read this article somewhere where it was being discussed how the recent media we're watching is being designed…
same haha! it also makes sense given the recent popularity of 5 minute or less per episode cdramas that are quite literally info dumping on the viewer as we watch. gives me whiplash and then I struggle to get into longer dramas. but I only have myself to blame haha, trying to break out of this cycle lmao
I'm not sure if this was said out loud in any episode but I think in one of the trailers it was mentioned that…
yeah, you're absolutely right. the way I see it, she only just started taking interest in the guy but since he's head over heels for her he was hasty and rushed into it. the right thing would be to give her space to deal with her new feelings but instead we got a shoddy proposal and more conflict. classic case of too much too soon
nah, just regular females vs blue haired, glasses wearing and nose ring females.
so you get to defend yourself, but I don't? I see how it is xD and by us I meant the commenters you're calling blue haired Americans lmao but I guess that's too much reading comprehension for you
This is the first time I told the ML to leave the FL because she is not worth it. I know that the ML’s mother…
I'm not sure if this was said out loud in any episode but I think in one of the trailers it was mentioned that although the mother is actively looking for a husband for the eldest daughter, she kinda isn't ready to move on yet and would rather help her younger sisters get married.
nah, just regular females vs blue haired, glasses wearing and nose ring females.
really? because you keep on replying to me with the most absurd takes, throwing demeaning terms around and bashing us for disagreeing with you. pretty hypocritical just saying.
I'd suggest watching the show and forming your own judgment. everyone views media with their own biases so it's…
I'm one of the negative commenters here but I would personally never listen to someone's opinions about something and watch and judge on my own first. so don't worry about the comments or the ratings
Is it just me or the way the characters are written gives very much Anime feel?? Like Idk what it is, but seeing…
I read this article somewhere where it was being discussed how the recent media we're watching is being designed for instant gratification and production folks wanting characters to spell everything out for the viewer, announce their actions and motives instead of showing them on screen because people don't want to take the time to actively engage with the subject and usually like to watch while scrolling on their phones etc. I think this is why it feels similar to anime because with long-running anime characters usually have to announce their actions and keep on moving ahead, sometimes even resolving entire conflicts by just talking (which is a meme in itself: talk no jutsu) sorry for the long comment I just find this fascinating
