IT WAS SO HORRIBLE I CAN'T LOOK AT THE MALE LEAD WITHOUT THINKING OF HOW HE CONVINCED THAT SPINELESS ASSHOLE TO…
I get the pillow talk part and that she beat him up. but when she goes to tell her mother and sister about it we suddenly don't get back to the issue because there's a proposal waiting for kangning. that's crazy
It personally doesn’t bother me for the most part and kinda funny sometimes, but I think the problem is that…
I've been trying to be gentle with my takes because a lot of people here are taking unkindly to criticism directed at the male lead but yes! agree with everything you've said. I also cannot bring myself to overlook just how generally unkind chai an is towards his sister in law fuhui, whether directly or indirectly. people keep saying to wait for character development but how is it possible to wait for development to occur when the problem is not being acknowledged at all? the others (fuhui's husband and that yang fellow) are more overtly bad but characters like chai an are more insidious and dangerous because so many men even today are like him. they even gravitate towards women like kangning just to tame them (not saying this is happening here). the fact that the writer is a man unfortunately does add to this icky feeling.

yes, their matchmaking doesn't go through because of his mother's behavior but I'm honestly glad it didn't because I personally think the kidnapping issue needs to be addressed and cleared before we move on to being lovey dovey. Though I doubt it will, judging by how the scriptwriting is.
Just watched ep 5, and I know that the MLs are all supposed to be kinda awful so as to be “realistic”, but…
IT WAS SO HORRIBLE I CAN'T LOOK AT THE MALE LEAD WITHOUT THINKING OF HOW HE CONVINCED THAT SPINELESS ASSHOLE TO GO ALONG WITH THIS PLAN. honestly was low-key happy the marriage got called off because they didn't address this issue at all and I know they definitely won't
