if the author of the novel decided to created another novel, base on "Mo Dao Zu Shi" Universe, I would like the author to added another cultivation method, known as "the Sage Cultivation" it is a cultivation method through manipulating natural energy without the used of the golden core, the cultivation is base on collecting the natural energy from the atmosphere and terrain and made it your own which become more powerful than the conventional spiritual energy cultivation base from the Golden Core and less harmful and less dangerous than the Demonic Cultivation.

i could say that Lan Zhan's father situation is similar to Lan Zhan's, he fell in love and madly in love with Wei Ying and when Wei Ying got wounded, Lan Zhan bring him to the Cloud Recesses and hide and protected him from other, the Lan sect found them and were disgusted that Lan Zhan was hiding Wei Ying and later Lan Zhan would do anything to protect Wei Ying even goes as far as to injured 33 elders in order to protect Wei Ying and later Lan Zhan got punished for that, over thirty whips as punishment, leaving behind permanent scars and requiring three years of rest

i don't think he's as powerful as before, remember Mo Xuanyu's golden core is very weak compare to Wei Ying's Golden Core, Xuanyu barely got trained in the Lanling Jin Sect
