Ugh I LOEATHE the Director, but at least the Screenwriter is not the same as in WhenTheStarsFlop. They were much worse, and even more responsible for bad drama with their SCRIPT.
Actually I did some research: The script might be good/screenwriter is giving possible green flags:
Searching the screenwriter's name (So Hae Won), The Screenwriter couldn't be found on databases, they seem to be a rookie. That's generally good.
You want either: a) Top established screenwriter who often delivers good script or b) A talented rookie screenwriter or new writing team.
The WORST Screenwriters are always those delivering bad project after project and writing bad-average dramas despite long portfolio/industry experience LOL (ahem ahem WhenTheStarsFlop). They remain writing only because they must be well-connected lol.
Plus BOTH CJH AND OYS always choosing script with nuance and emotional dept. Especially OYS even when doing freaking RomComs the characters are always complex, healing or transforming. I never seen her choose a "shallow" script. It's like she chooses her script based on depth of characters... And CJH always good at picking overall good script.
+ These part of Plot description really point to more nuanced script that both actors like, won't be a shallowly written romcom: "in place of his deceased older brother", "Scarred by her parents’ divorce and a harsh upbringing under a cold, critical mother, "
And apparently Small Channels give the ACTORS more power. So if PDnim does some massive dumb script changes, both OYS and CJH should be able to interfere by complaining to the Production company. He a massive failure PD, they are established actors with long careers in the industry, and more known than most of the actors Channel A casts... I wonder if they wrote that into their contracts: more power to affect creative output, even above the PD... I hope they just mostly Direct Themselves LMAO and keep the PD as Handsoff as possible 🤣
Actors + Good script will have to carry this drama.
Mad For Each Other, possibly OYS's best work, was written by a rookie screenwriter.

OH YEON SEO (People ALWAYS confuse with with her roles, not even realizing she is STILL acting even in interviews/method acting the character whatever it is. Please Come Back Mister: Man's soul in Woman's body Mad For Each Other: Traumatized by violence & Paranoid Personality Disorder character Player2 and Cafe Minamdam vs Love with Flaws : Tough Kickass Loud Action woman vs Cute girly girl. It looks like a different actress alltogether played in Player2 & Minamdang vs Love with flaws! )
LEE DA HEE (Can do both romcoms and action. Chamelion also. But she needs to be better at picking scripts. Her action projects tend to be badly written.)
CHUN WOO HEE (atypical family vs The 8th Show aired at same time, showing contrasting sides. Her Films also worth watching. Watch Be Melodramatic.)
IM JI YEON (Super convincing acting, whatever the character)
SEO YE JI (still kind of dislike her after her scandal, but you cannot deny her good acting)
JEON YEO BEEN ( Be sure to watch the highly underrated Be Melodramatic. Then compare that with Vincenzo. Then compare that with Glitch.)
SHIN HYE SUN - The only one ontop of on this list that deserves to be ontop of it!! Otherwise all the actresses I mentioned above deserve more hype.
Hmmm Somehow the long hair makes Kim Woo Bin unattractive, does not suit him, maybe mid length/shoulder length (like Park Bo Gum in Encounter or Jang Ki Yong in The Atypical Family or Kim Young Dae in No Gain No Love) wouid have suited him better... I hope they cut his hair mid drama...

I'm worried about the Channel A being the channel (lack of reach, it will only be popular among niche fans/cult following. And the PD being same as When The Stars Gossip! Is this another birth propaganda???
Mostly, I'm perpelexed: I cannot understand why CJH and OYS decided to take on such a Red Flag project with problematic PD, bad channel.....
What on earth are they both thinking?!?!
