Thank you for writing this. It was an enjoyable read.

I rarely give much thought to crossdressing characters in (especially romance) k-dramas beyond wishing they would cast more masc-presenting /or androgynous women who would be more believable in these roles. But it'll be asking too much to give a lead role to someone who doesn't fit conventional beauty standards. I am enjoying The King's Affection right now because they're not trying to have us believe no one has noticed the prince looks "feminine".

In Mad for Each Other I liked seeing a character who cross-dresses because it's a form of expression for them. I'd like to see more of this. (And more dramas where fat people aren't fools or gluttons.)

Title Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Spoiler
A few things:

1. Du Sik had a tendency for excessive and unhealthy self-blame. The guilt he carried did not come from what his friend's wife said to him but from within. Did her words add to it? Maybe. But given the character's backstory, he would have reacted the same way.

2. Grief comes at people in different ways. This woman had just lost her husband and father of her baby in an accident that left Du Sik relatively unscathed (physically at least). At that point in time, there were no rationalising. Did she owe him an apology when they finally met? Maybe. I actually expected one. But what she said was more important than any "I'm sorry".

3. Hye Jin being on that bridge. Rolling my damn eyes. Du Sik's friend appearing to him on the beach. RME X 1000.

4. Yi Jun. The actor who plays him totally killed the role. Always had a soft spot for him because of how proper and "mature" he was. The writers did well to show him be a child who needed to be consoled. Hwa Jeong is such a good mum (and a good friend. That scene with Cho Hui>>>>>)

5. I aspire to Bo Ra's loyalty and sensitivity.

6. Gam Ri's death didn't make me the least bit sad. She lived well and died surrounded by love. I couldn't be sad at that. (Good thing Du Sik's issues were resolved because he might have blamed himself for her death.)

Unsatisfactory ending. Were the two friends beefing about something else before? All that intensity over a guy they've both known for all of two seconds? I couldn't buy it.

Title Yumi's Cells Spoiler
It's Sae Yi and her sense of entitlement for me. Because if she had succeeded in breaking them up, she'd have put Woong back on the reserve bench until someone else comes into his life and she does the same thing again. Yumi read her for filth and my god, what a reading.

Cells. It's right there in the title, you know, in case anyone gets confused. The cell village is an integral part of the show. It's a little annoying to read comments about the cell village having too many scenes or being unnecessary and so on. You can actually skip those bits if you want.

The show has its flaws, yes. Even with the cell village that I so enjoy, there are issues. But those cells are also characters too. Put some respect on them please.

I’ve just finished ep 6 and I feel like most of the time the cells scenes don’t add anything to the understanding…
You should drop a show that bores you. Life is too short.

Title Dali & Cocky Prince Spoiler
That's what they said. Maybe he got married after he broke up with Dali.
Hmmm. His divorce isn't a secret so it's unlikely he could hide it from Dali and her her dad. Plus that flashback in a previous ep came across more like he'd given her an ultimatum. Whatever it is that made him break up with her could also have led him into a loveless marriage. All will be revealed soon.

Enjoyed every second of EP 7. Ms Hong is a fave. Just wish the actress got more lead roles.

MH's secretary grates my nerves. Character is a miss for me. I think the drama would have been better served with him having a stern secretary. Her comic overacting is just urgh. We have MH, his dad and stepmother for that.

Really love Dali's hairstyle by the way. It suits her completely.

Unpopular opinion but she had a point though lol To a person who relies on a monthly check, seeing your workplace…
I actually thought the same till it was revealed she was at the musuem the night Dali moved there with the intention of living there. Did she think Dali had her luggage with her for fun? She's determined to see Dali as rich and spoilt and that's that.

She noticed the fashion brands but not the bruises? (This is just me being petty. Lol)

Honestly out of all the characters that are pretty hateable and annoying in this drama, no one has ticked my nerve…
Yes to everything you've said. She's hateful. Although in true kdrama fashion, they're going to give her a sob backstory and redemption at the end.

"Oniranu oshi" had me howling. I got tired weeks back but keep watching because I hope it gets better? Totally with you on alt scenarios.

Your dislike might not let you see how good her acting is so it's best you don't watch it. But so far the show has delivered on the comedy and romance.

Flaws aside, the one thing I appreciated about this drama was how most of the support/guest actors brought their A-game. They all understood the assignment and executed with precision.

What exactly hasn't come together in this season so far? The romantic relationships? Is that all HP is about?

Also, you're being impolite to @thepooh. They made their point quite clearly and without insult. There are no sides, just people who love and enjoy this drama and the characters. Remember that and maybe you'd be less likely to take offense where there is none.
