If one takes out the weird date/timelines thing they were trying to push for the two worlds, the show makes perfect sense. Simplify it to two parallel universes. The writers were trying to do too much and messed up what started out as an interesting show.
Glad to see Ohm can play a role that's sociable and fun. I liked the music and the final episode was cute.
Is it just me or are OhmFluke kisses always at one frequency? They never intensify. Just set it to 3 and keep it there even after the clothes come off.
This was such a letdown I'm almost in tears. I'm so disappointed. Even the villain lacked oomph. I enjoyed certain moments between the characters and there were some funny bits but overall the story was lacklustre.
I'd have loved to be in the writers' room for this drama. Just to see what twisted minds came up with it. I think it's brilliant in how well the actors portrayed their roles. The very strong (negative) emotions expressed about the characters tell me they nailed it. I think character and plot development is nice but it's refreshing to watch a drama that doesn't care too much about those things and focuses on creating a mindfuck. 8/10 for that alone.
Eps 1 to 6, are super interesting. The decline begins in ep 7 with the entrance of the VIPs. Degraded the drama to something of a clown show. And the story arc for Wi Ha Joon's character was supposed to have an omg moment but it fell flat. Still, I'll watch a season 2 to see if they redeem themselves.
I remember taking a break AoS after the first few episodes because I couldn't get into the comedy bits. This drama is the opposite for me. The humour is what has me hooked. It's silly and cute and I'm curious to see how things at the hospital play out now a powerful deity is involved. (I ended up loving AoS when I picked it again.)
Im Soo Hyang must have worked hard to improve this much with her acting. Tells me she takes her job seriously and makes me want to root for her. I hope she keeps getting stronger.
On another note, if you dislike the drama and the FL that much... maybe just... I dunno... stop watching? Nearly a quarter of comments and replies to comments are from the same set of people who only have negative things to say about the drama. Is there some pleasure to be had from watching and bashing a drama while making yourself out to be intellectually above and more experienced with kdramas than the people who enjoy said drama? I honestly cannot wrap my head around it.
Although it made me a sad, I liked how the cafe/police station scenes were handled.
The waffle lady wasn't wrong to suspect Jae Woo a stalker. Could she tell he was autistic? Maybe. Did she understand what that meant in relation to his routine ie having waffles made by her every day? No. And then he switches the time of his visit to match her shift. Thing is, as someone watching this drama, I know JW is a sweet man and didn't mean any harm. The waffle lady isn't watching the drama. She doesn't know anything beyond what's available to her. And she acts accordingly - tells her boyfriend who escalates things. He is an asshole by the way, JW in the picture or not.
This is why dramas like Attorney Woo, Our Blues, IOTNBO and this one are important. Many people have never met a person on the spectrum before. They might know in general terms what autism is but have no idea what that translates to in day-to-day life. Maybe by watching one of these dramas, they'll learn something.
I think Haeng Seon apologised because it's the price she has to pay for JW to continue having the semi-independence he does. It's a price she's probably paid before and knows she'll continue to pay. It's unfair as fuck but it's her reality. There was really no other way for the situation to play out without her brother getting hurt even more.
Hope this show keeps the chaos and humour. First episode was super entertaining. Only ever saw the FL in Gangnam Beauty and her acting has seriously improved. Glad to see her challenge herself with a character like this that demands a lot of facial expressions.
This was so good. Slow-burn vengeance? Yes, please. Love the fact that the writers didn't depend on lazy tropes and plot devices to drive the story. Dong Eun most likely won't deliver revenge directly. She's set the wheels in motion and going to watch it all burn, with a willingness to throw herself into the fire if necessary. I won't be surprised if she dies in Part 2.
Also, where is this romance everyone is up in arms about? Dong Eun needs allies and that's where Yeo Jung comes in. His liking her gives him the motive to be on her side. But that's not all. In helping her, he's also fighting his own demons.
I liked the cinematography in the head-on-the-shoulder scene, but it really exposed that they were wearing enough…
Drama incoming the next episode but I don't think it'll ruin the simplicity of the plot. The kiss scene was A+. That "What can I do to get closer to you" was driven by pure lust. Loved it.
A light watch. Had its funny moments. I like how the characters balanced each other. The chemistry isn't the strongest I've seen in a friendship drama but they pulled it off. Joseph's mum is the best babe. Loved how supportive she was.
My only peeve was that the bratty celeb didn't get any kind of a slap on the wrist. Totally unlikeable character.
They definitely owing more than they paid. The rush to shut him up with money? Nah. Glad he's still suing. They should open their damn books and I hope other artists they manage also ask to see the books too.

(Edit: I meant this comment to be sarcastic.)
