Masterpiece, the best drama of this year.
Surprised me too...I was shocked how much I loved this series. Drew me in instantly! Everything was great about it for also being a shorter length series. Those were action packed 25 or so minute eps lol

Binged it and loved it! WOW way better than I expected. Fast paced, romance and plot sped smoothly thru the short eps. Even the next episode teasers were exciting to see what was next cause each ep was action packed to me and drew me in instantly, There was almost zero dead air filler in any of the scenes for me. Kept my interest easily!! Actors slayed their roles....loved the Prosecutor's wicked personality lol, I enjoyed this a lot!!

Its supposed to feel like an original story for a reason. Did you watch all the end credits? Also in many of these…
lol, that's wild in diff perspectives on it.....so true tho....what worked so smooth for one might give another a bit of a headache haha Truly just a personal takeaway from how it was structured on how it makes one feel,,,,cool

yea I watched to the very end end lol I can understand maybe a diff way to hold pre-rehearsals etc but the way it happened in the show, I don't believe it would go down like that irl but weirder things happen in this world so ?? :) (but not an authority on this subject) I know it was a real life story that was adapted to screen cause some author tong wrote about them...but what I meant was the jump in and out of the story wasn't smooth to me in some parts which then just made the flow of the entire series a bit off for me. I understand the stories connection but how it was executed is what made me dizzy sometimes in transition

Binged it and glad I waited. I found this series to be a good one to sit down, put up my feet and not move from the screen for 12 eps LOL It's an easy story to follow but between the actors and the characters they were playing in the film, the jump skips between those got a bit annoying to me. On film scene a lot of times they never showed enough of the staff/cameras etc around so it made it feel more part of the like original real life story happening? IDK was off putting to me a bit. Some things also like throwing 2 actor strangers in a room to bond for 2 weeks before filming? HUH, uh like workshops with professional coaches and many table reads and ....not this overly dramatic non-professional entrance for the2 leads. But their high emotions were vibrating thru the screen. They held that intensity thru to the end....very good acting! All actors slayed their roles.

i honestly want to know the mystery behind Teng Mo and the Mob boss's story
yea yea that has some plausible deduction in it. I know when he gave the mob dude that document he said 'I found you'....so he musta gave him very important info...about the murderer or ?? I am now really wondering about that whole tie in, we yet to really see any big info backstory on Teng Mo so he must have a big can of worms to be opened? Can't wait now...

Yea me too! something so fishy behind that. I am guessing maybe him being a lawyer before? means he has access to info that helped the mob boss and got him out of trouble but it seems like they have a past? they feel too chummy to me. IDK just guessing things haha

Binged eps 1-9.....totally addicted. This gives me Tide of Love vibes but to me is actually better in some ways, well....you know?....but right now it is literally making me want to watch and see how the 2 mains get thru their crappy communication and their crazy misunderstandings and what happens with the sister. Those onstage singing scenes, omgosh the sync and more was so off my brain was getting fried watching it but I was laughing thru it all too. I'm all in and having a blast with this series!

there's gotta be crack laced in this show, cuz even if it's not that great it's still addicting lol
Absolutely agree....I got addicted to Tide of Love S1/2 and all know that was a trainwreck which I could not stop watching lol. This series is right there with an addictive flow to it for me.

Actually quite sad that this is a series for Tay and New their acting skills deserves to be USED so they absolutely…
100% agree. If not for Tay and New I would have dropped this so early on cause I watched til the end just for them!

Finale finally .... Tay and New, watching them as an awesome team is the only way I got thru this romcom. New comedy script writers need to be hired, this didn't deliver but I did smile thru some it and Tay and New kept me watching so... and how the writers ruined the wedding was criminal but the very last line of the series had me LMAO. (GMM needs fresh new writers with new creative content story lines and plots instead of a chaotic jumbled mess. ...good actors require good scripts)

Finished finale....lackluster at best. I expected...hmmm, more? IDK but that was one of the most dead dull finales I've seen in a bit. Left feeling empty and have zero draw to this series anymore. My guess of it being a wasted potential of a script came true. This just didn't have energy!

I usually enjoy tragic romance, but it seems no one involved with Smile After Tears knows how to do ‘sad’…
emotional weight of a cotton ball --- OMG LMFAO! so true!!

Finally got this off my watchlist......it was good. Dark psychological. I wanted more depth tho overall about the mains. I wanted to know more but didn't get it. No romance, it is extreme isolation and loneliness turned into dark obsession thru some kindness received....very sad. Open ending to be interpreted left me a bit annoyed because again, I was vested in the 2 mains and felt I wanted a solid conclusion about their story but irl there are so many possibilities on how this journey could end for both so it's justified a bit for me.
