Many of the historical facts were incorrect. Firstly, Hongxi's empress (Grand Empress Dowager) died in 1442 and that was before Zhengtong emperor went to war with the Mongols and got captured in 1449. Jintai emperor was not the son of Empress Hu. In fact Empress Hu died in 1443 and that was before Zhengtong emperor went to fight the Mongols in 1449. In fact Empress Dowager Sun did not have much influence over Zhengtong emperor. It was Grand Empress Dowager that was the regent when he was 7 years when he was enthroned.
The director doesn't seems to understand war tactics used. The use of cavalry and infantry were incorrect. Typical Chinese war movies that made the mistakes of soldiers fighting each other with kungfu scences. The real fact was that they fight in formations supported with artilleries and archers.
A complete friction left with only the actual character names the major event dates that are correct. What a waste with such a distortion.

Boring

After Ep 17, it starts to go down the drain. With the appearance of Yuan Lang where he repeatedly frame Liang Yi over and over and over again starts to get boring. It really lacks of good plots. Then the typical Chinese drama style where non-common sense or illogical story line starts to creeping in. Then the wasteful scenes were just fillers to extend the drama to 34 episodes. Overall, poor story and lack sophistication. Looks like good dramas are lacking nowadays. Too many rubbish out there.........

Season 2 is basicaly just a rerun of season 1

Season 1 was nice and interesting but Season 2 is basicaly just a rerun of season 1. The most absurb point is that President Do is now Chairman Do and then the rerun of feud between Kim and Do.... The story starts to get stale as it ran out of ideas in season 2.
The ridiculousness and unprofessionalism of doctors are just too exaggerated to the point they became just unbearable to watch. Boring and I started to just fast forward to finish Season 2 ASAP. A typical problem with season 2 when audiences expect more from season 1 but dissapointed with lack on ingenuity and new ideas.

Initial 17 episodes were nice. They were entertaining as it is light and easy to watch. Nice comedy with a new twist. However from episode 18 onwards, things turn sothward. Could be the director or producer suddenly gone crazy or have a bad day and make a 180 degrees change of mind. The story suddenly jump to some weird story and then suddenly jumped to modern time. What a load of bullsh#t!!!  What these idiots have done was bastardized a reasonably light comedy into crap. Towards the end there was NO ENDING!!!

Up to episode 50ish are still o.k., after that when the director's wife took over the script writing, it just went down the drain. Ridiculousness to the highest order from then onward.
How can the director allowed his wife to continue writing rubbish scripts??? Lack of professionalism on the director's part.

Initially was great and then it just start to get lame

Initially it was interesting and I started to get addicted but after a while, it started to get lame as the writer just recycle the plot where consort Xian kept annoying the Emperor and then tit for tat and it just kept repeating. Then the contradiction of repeating being framed but kept being nice and kept repeating again d again. I think the writer ran out of idea. The story did not move much as it just go round and round.
The writers of Chinese drama need to be more creative and stop using old lame and contradicting plots. It is already 2020 and audiences want better story. Stop wasting time and repeating same plots to drag out the episodes.

The most ridiculous drama

This is the most ridiculous drama I ever watched. The memory loss once is already ridiculous and lasted 11 episodes before he regain his memory. Then when he regained his memory, but lost the last 3 months memory. What a stupid plot. Looks like there is a memory switch.. Lol. Then the ridiculousness of the step mother than refuses to moved out. The worst is the contradiction plots, excuses and dumb reasoning by PDD and LYK after he regained his memory but loss the last 3 months memory that makes your blood boils. I am not sure how the writer can write such a story.... Childish and utterly ridiculous.

Lame

The reason for the initial break off was so bloody lame. Then the numerous flash backs were an attempt to drag or increase the number of episodes. Then the misunderstanding was so ridiculous that thr ML keep not telling why and just keep dragging on and on. Looks like it is an attempt to merely increase the number of episodes instead of writing good story rich in content and logical. Typical story line of ML and FL misunderstood each other which is very lame. Lack creativity... start to get bored after Ep 9...and started to fast forward..

Nothing new.. same old same old childish tactics.... male chauvinist pig eventually in love... and then in between the story there are just plain silly no common sense misunderstanding.... so standard text book plot... was it a textbook they must use.. ? ? ? ..Then there is always a b%tch in between them... ? ? ? ?.
I just hope Chinese writers can have better and new ideas.... so bl**dy lame.
It seems that it is pretty standard that 24 episodes are the minimum.... ? ? ?...

Initially the story was reasonable but as it goes on the story starts to get ridiculous with contradictions.  Episodes 21 onwards gets illogical especially when Huan Er chose her dad over husband. Imagine you chose to jump into the lion den again when knowing your dad is such a rascal and your love chemistry is so great.   Episodes 22 to 25 are just plain boring...merely to get to episode 25. Further the geography is completely ignore  as one can move from Hangzhou to the north so quickly demonstrating poor research.

The story keeps dragging on and on and on especially with Yunge's longing for Ling Gege... it keeps repeating and got to a point it is just plain annoying. Then a typical Chinese writer plot of misappotunity to tell her real name when met the real Ling Gege... these childishly used technique is so typical in many Chinese drama, which leads me to believe in the uninnovativeness of Chinese writters and producers. Too many stale techniques used to stall and drag the drama. Many typical textbooks tactics used over and over again in most Chinese drama.

The first half of the drama is reasonable. Then it started to go down hill. First with the Jim Carrey acting rubbish from uncle Zhan. Then followed by Sinuo 180 degree turn about. The worst is the standard script in all Chinese drama. All chinese writers seems to use the same textbook. .... when someone found he or she has illness and instead of discussing with love one to overcome difficulties, he or she will hide and leave him or her because for fear of causing him trouble. All this with the excuse of loving him or her.... what a load of BS. This is so childish and lame. Be more creative and stop using standard textbook.

The writer must be on drugs. The writer basically ran out of ideas. There are just plainly too many illogical scences and the story starts to get ridiculous and merely to just to keep more episodes going.  There are too many scences that can be removed especially those scenes with someone pondering or reminiscing the past etc. All these are just to extend the number of episodes.  Epusode 30 onwards starts to get even worst. Basically the amount of episodes can be cut by half. 62 episodes are just plain too many snd there are too many redundancy.

Another poorly written story

Just another poorly written story... Snobbish CEO with a naive girl. Then the story just got boring with the 2 main characters going in circle and circle. Hate the phone ringing in critical time. It happens all the time to a point that it is just ridiculously stupid. The misunderstanding was so bloody childish and amateurish... What is wrong with C-drama writers? Seems that their only aim is to find opportunities to extend the drama to as many episodes as possible.

In order to make it a comedy the story writer tried using ridiculousness to achieve it. However,  it failed miserably. It is absolutely rubbish. I just cant comprehend how this drama can be produced. The producer must be thinking of using Zanalia'so fame to sell. The story is so badly written, i have to fast forward to skip the rubbish story.  On the bright side Zaniala Zhao acting was good as usual but is a pity she was associated with such a trash drama.  Her acting is great and able to act to project happiness, nativity and sadness... good acting is the only consolation.
