It can be a better story if the writer is more. matured and creative in story writing. The lame scenes of dragging on the story, for eg. the use if repeated phone ringing to delay Wei Xiang saying he loves Yi Jie is so childish. The differentiation of a good and matured writer is the ability to write story without repeating the use of same story line. Overall, 84 episodes could either be reduce to 70 or have better non repetitive content if wanting to extend to 84 episodes. Then the story is full of contradictions that starts to get into you when it keeps dragging on.
Furthermore, scenes with exaggerated scenes to add humour starts to get irratating when used too many times. This is a poor judgement by the director and is really childish mentality. Comedy can be funny without these childish comedy actions. So typical of Taiwanese dramas... Time to grow up...

The first 5 episodes were boring and dragged on too long. After that they became not too bad but when Jieyou enters as a harem of Kum-mi, the plot starts to get repeatative and boring. It is always Wun-Kui trayying to save Jeiyou over and over again. The illogical reasonings and event of things gets into the story. Very typical story writter on imperial and historical drama. The scheme of things were similar and lack imagination. I have to start fast forwarding from episode 26 onwards and it started to get ridiculous. Overall, I rate it only a 5 as it really sits on the borderline from being a badly written story.

The scene when Shi Bo Hai mum rushed to the wedding is ridiculousness and childishness to the highest degree. If Shi Bo Hai is dying the first thing is to get a doctor than taking a taxi to disrupt He Bu Han and Man Man wedding. Further, with Taipei traffic there is no way she can get there on time. It ticks me off when writers is so naive or shall I said childish to write this plot. 74 episode is just ridiculously long. I wonder how there are so many commonsenseless Taiwanese or Chinese writers. It drags on and on with little interesting plots after episode 49. The rest are just rubbish.

Just bad...

This is the most childish drama I ever watch. The plot is lame and lack of imagination. The writer is obviously intellectually challenged for writing such as ridiculous story. It tried to have twist in the plot but failed badly. I have to give up watching Chinese dramas. It is just getting worst by the year. This writer Ding Mo is really childish. No research at all. Just simoly write a story without any consideration and expect audience to accept this crap? Too many contradictions and China propaganda messages. Will never watch any movies or dramas written by this childish writer.
