His definition on transitioning is not about the theme of dramas he took, more on the level of presentation of roles. He understood that for some of roles, particularly fantasy theme, the base of character does not exist in real world, he would like to get in touch with roles where it's more relate to the surrounding of real world. The challenge of these types of characters is there's no outstanding trait to impress the audience. You have to rely on your understanding and delivery of acting to capture audience's interest.

Most of Tencent X Theater has reputation of delivering intact plot unlike the usual idol drama (traffic-driven) which can be added with unnecessary plot. How it's gonna help Kai? This kind of drama requires acting skills so this kind of script will help Kai hone his acting. Kai being approached for this script is actually an honor to him because the production sees his past results and wanted him in this kind of drama. It's called X Theater because it contains mystery, conflict. suspense.
