The scene with XY's mom was so heartbreakingly beautiful in the novel and ofc YZ's acting was great in that scene but I was so distracted by the couple of petals floating by, like did they run out of money for this scene or something.

No they cannot spare anything substantially good for Jing because it'll throw off their narrative of Jing being "weak and useless" have to strip of everything to make him a background character. I just don't understand why not just change cp or just let him die why try to bring him back? they already stripped him of everything he's done and given it away. First kill his merits next his physical form. Them taking his lines and scenes to give away didn't even make those scenes better. The story telling of s2 is such a mess along with the editing, directing , lame cgi.

Jing is not a coward and XY doesn't need him to be a "protector" either.

it's the same with Jing. People want him to be this and that but that would simply make him not Jing anymore. Tong Hua wrote all the characters the ways she did for a reason, they are all flawed characters and we can see how their childhood/environment affect their decisions/choices and eventually their ending. That's the beauty of this drama, so many different characters that aren't cookie cut together. They all have their own personalities and story to tell and we're just here for the ride.

I really love how much love DW puts into TSJ. I was really impressed by him when I first started LYF. he had only debuted 2 years or so when he filmed LYF so ofc being around more experienced actors people will notice that he isn’t at that level yet but watching his dramas I have seen a lot of improvements in each drama which is always a good thing. He fully embodied Jing from the being in love to the brokenness, I hope people will give him a chance not hate the actor just because they don’t like the character.

1 more sleeping day and we’ll get to see more Wei Wei onscreeeeenn. It really feels like it’s been forever since we’ve seen him . I hope we’ll get to see him lots this month since he’ll most likely do promotions for s2 💜
