also to add, before the wedding she went to Qingqiu and accidentally bumped into Jing and told him about her upcoming wedding. Later when they had their heart to heart talk he said she didn't look happy to marry FL. He tried telling FL to cancel the wedding but FL didn't listen to him since XY was the willing to do it .

i think Jing and FL came in case XY and CX needed help. Then the emperor purposely let them listen to what CX said (if there was any danger then they can step in to mediate since Jing is Tushan clan leader and FL ChiShui clan). Later, they will use what they heard to convince the other clans to join CX side.

Yes, he’s such a sad character and then all people do is call him “weak”or “boring.” TH made XL a selfless hero and CX an ambitious King to unite the world while TSJ gets the short end of the stick but because he gets the girl at end no one cares about the things he suffered from. What I like about Jing is he stayed true to himself and was still kind til the end. He went through so much but didn’t let the world taint him. Like XY said “TSJ is like a bright moon though the moon waxes and wanes, it remains untainted by the darkness, and it’s radiance is always there.” I can’t wait for them to have their heart to heart talk in s2
