Also... DID YAL SEE THE TEASERS!!! The romance is finally ROMANCINGGGGGGG. I just love Jiang Ci so much, she doesn't shy away from being friendly with Wei Zhao, like they can have moments which most romance leads don't usually have, a normal dynamic. Most leads in dramas are awkward before they get together, then all of a sudden they can't keep their hands off each other once they start dating. However, the way she was teasing him at the dinner table, talking about opening a stall together (and him even supporting the notion, albeit very shyly).
The desperation to save her once she gets sick after attempting to kill her a million times, I'm glad. I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates they didn't just forget about that after they started getting closer. Like I'm sure he has paid off those killings with the amount of times he's saved her thus far, but he still holds in his heart there was a time he tried to hurt her and regrets it. What he did before cannot be excused, so it's good they make sure we don't forget about it.
I hope nobody is pissed at Jiang Ci leaving briefly btw... She is a simple person, he broke her trust, she wanted one thing, and he got in the way of that. She is a good person, that's why she wants to help Yuelou, and that's why she came back. She wouldn't have left if she knew that would happen. But she is deservingly angry after being messed up by both Wei Zhao and Pei Yan.
I was afraid Pei Yan was going to kill that guy, it would've been the turning point in his character, making him no longer salvageable. However, I can tell he is still a good person, he isn't happy with his mom power grabbing, the killing of innocents, he is just a creep :D I don't know how it goes in the books, but if the description is correct, he joins hands with Wei Zhao eventually. I can't wait to see his arc complete.
I'm surprised by the comment section. I haven't seen any trailer, Idk anything about this director or the actor Tian Jia Rui.
All I would like to say is there are definitely multiple leads in the story, but there is always a "main" character, and that would be Neo, right? At least based on the description (is it correct?).
Du Ling is the FL, but her importance depends on the drama's focus on romance. However, according to desc, she seems to be involved with Neo's character alot (skeptical of him).
Tian Jia Rui and Cheng Xiao are second leads, maybe will play big parts of the plot, but definitely not more than the leads.. right?
So I would agree that TJR having double the time than almost all characters in some trailer or music video, whatever it was, is definitely strange. There is heavy bias involved here. There should be no reason, unless he is the main character, for him to be getting this much screentime. People are saying he worked hard.. as if the others didn't? People are saying he is also a main character... not as "main" as Neo or Du Ling.
So I'm confused, why do people think otherwise? Why are people saying its not a big deal? Can someone also fill me in on the tea with the director, and hate apprently this guy is getting.
Nah screw them for that cliffhanger and having 3 single episodes in a row. Yesterdays episode was so heartwarming so they decided to throw this at us.
Another thing, omg I get the heebie jeebies whenever I see pei yan. It's so funny cause there are MLs in dramaland like this that we romanticize (goodbye my princess, the kings woman) but he's the first one that actually makes me really uncomfortable. It could be my own bias cause he is the second lead, but I believe it also has to do with jeremy's acting, combined with landy's cause she looks ill around him lol.
This episode had me so satisfied, I'm actually full for once. They had so many lovely moments, and she even joked about the dagger, glad to see it still being brought up.
Ep23 preview showing Pei Yan asking Wei Zhao to return Jiang Ci to him made me laugh 😂 Tf? Who's he? Like she's…
He's actually insane. Before he was hesitant in taking her away because he was afraid she would hate him, but now he's past that. He's just like I'll take her away with me, trap her, and she'll like me again :DDD
I wouldn't give AF about deeper things if you tried to kill me multiple times, torture included. Also, you are…
I'm not taking it out on anyone... you might have used that phrase incorrectly. I'm explaining my opinion the way you have yours. Don't reply to comments if you don't want people to reply to you. Read what I said again and try to see what I mean.
