Omg episode 9 was amazing, I have never seen the actress for the FL before but she is doing a phenomenal job. The interrogation scene was perfect. She said everything needed to be said, did everything needed to be done (the symbol GENIUS). Its a very satisfying episode. Also the expression of the ML's face when those two died... amazing, you could tell exactly how he felt.
1) Wei Zhao would be a potential suspect of the killing of Teng Rui. However, Wei Zhao planned ahead by throwing…
Okayyy so he planned this set up before the incident. Fan Yi (the other general) knew that Wei Zhao wanted to do something but he wasn't fully in on it, he had the impression that they would have someone use the sewer plan not the lamb plan. Thank you for clearing it up! The wording on iQiyi confused me, she said she jumped in the water.
And did she know Wei Zhao was Xiao WuXia because she initally realized he was from Yuelou. Then when he tried to clear himself saying he had a master, make her assume its XWX, it sets the idea that he is in on it but didn't do it. But when she realized he was setting everything up to make the sewer plan, it could only be him and not his master (cause he was there every step of the way leading the investigation in this path?) Maybe you can explain it better than I can haha
I need help understanding how Jiang Ci got to that conclusion in the start of episode 8. Spoilers below!! What made her think that he forged the evidence of someone using the sewer system to sneak in. She mentioned things that happened before but I don't know how they connect cause details are blurry. Did she throw him into the water or did he throw them both? Did he tell her to do it? Did she know he can't swim (or will fake that he can't)? Is Tong yi lying about not checking the back of the house? She mentioned he was tricked, who tricked him, how did she know? How does she know who he really is? She said he got the idea when pei yan brought it up... how?!?
Also what did she drop her seeds for? Did he tell her to fall, did she think of it herself to get him to let go of her hand? I think it was to show they don't have good relationship, but its all weird.
Pei Yan warned the third prince ahead of time that he might have a spy by his side so try to lure him out. One…
Thank you for taking the time to help me! How does this expose him as related to the assassin though? He could just be trying to get the elixir for his lord's concubine? I thought the prince being sarcastic when saying oh I have to go prepare for the funeral of my precious concubine cause he knew he already had it. I can see the purpose but I don't get in actuality how it exposed him. Alsooo what does he have to do with the incident with the Teng rui? They were mentioning his involvement with Yu situation.
Someone explain what happened with the "go" scene in episode 4 , I get the gist of it (trying to root out someone on the assassin's team, turned out to be A'li), but I'm missing details.
I just finished and I enjoyed it! I haven't finished a show in a while. Here's what I liked and didn't like. Please EXPECT SPOILERS, but I'll try and keep it limited: PROS: * I was pleasantly surprised by the action scenes. I don't care much about action sequences in chinese drama cause they be flying everywhere, but they actually looked really good. I often stopped the 2X speed to soak it all in. * The plot was interesting, I loved how the ML was tied in with both families, and Pingnan isn't the only bad guy. Made it more interesting, stakes higher as there was another bad guy in the kingdom. I also liked that he wasn't outright bad! * There is this one song they play, an orchestral version of it whenever something huge is happening or about to happen, and it gives me chills. It's very powerful! The rest of the OST was also pretty good! * I liked a lot of side characters, and the fact that we explored some of them more than others, got to know their personality, but not enough that I'm bored. As I am always interested in the main plot and main characters, we never strayed from them! For example, we got enough of the princess, fake xue dingfei, the king, the sister, etc.. CONS: * I felt like stuff was missing. I didn't like the arc of the guard. They should've expanded on after he was caught by the Duke. The FL was supposed to help him get out, but no attempt was made, they didn't even mention him once they went on their expedition. He also DID NOT need to do what he did at the end there. *So did the fake xue ding fei keep his name or not? I wish we could've gotten to know his real name, a better ending then him drinking on a horse lol * People who hyped up the romance were wrongggg, don't watch it if you want romance romance. I liked how they kind of had a friendship after the first couple episodes, they had lots of friendly interactions, nothing really romantic, just like a problem-solving duo. I just did not feel the love at all from either character, I didn't see why they truly loved each other. ML was too much of a brute in love that it was more obsession, and the FL was just like why bro... At the end though, I still enjoyed it, but wish they gave better moments developing it. * I need a little bit more about Wanniang, and her relationship with her mom and sister. I need an apology from blaming them but not blaming wanniang. PROS BUT CONS: * I did not like the FL initially, like how are you being a victim around your mother and sister when they tried to welcome you initally and you just hurt them. However, she did have moments where she realiezd she was wrong and went to apologize to the person. Like she apologized to ML after realizing she said hurtful things, and she often had moments of self-reflection. I just wish I had seen more regret from her, more self-hate for what she did. * The ML was pretty good, but it did come off as cringe sometimes. I heard this is one of his best characters, and I would like to see him play more darker characters honestly. I just feel the emotions of the character didn't always fit the time and place.
8.1 is not a bad score but from the comments I see people like it and would expect more. Someone give me reasons why people might not be enjoying it other than the fact that its not a romance. Real reasons please :)
My journey to you and The Kunning palace is pretty good to.
I didn't realize what I was saying hurt anyone's feelings... I never said anything about their recommendations, I just replied as a conversation. I definitely am picky as you noticed, but that shouldn't stop me from asking people. Youre being ridiculous! I am am curious to know more about their suggestions so I ask questions instead of saying thank you and moving on. For kunning palace, I started the show after their recommendation and I just have questions about the show. I thought maybe I can ask these people cause they seem to like it so much they recommend it. Me not liking the show so far is not an insult towards them, its me asking them if I should continue. Its a conversation.

I wanted to ask cause I started it and her character still seems rude. Its hard for me to like her. In episode 5 her mom said the only reason she could become a tutor was of connections. Is she wrong though? the FL is like gaslighting her, like of course you would believe that, you dont think im capable of anything! But bro... that is the only reason, everyone is messing with you to get in. You don't study at all, all this information is from future you reading, not present you.. Does she improve her connection with her family? Apologise to them at least? Mom? Sister? The show makes it look like they are mean to her.

do you mind sharing whether her relationship with her sibling and mother improves? I feel like they are trying to make her seem like a victim, everyone is mean to her, when she was the rude one.
