I remember the movie poorly, but in the drama and in the novel Mosheng didn't know anything about leaving for US when she went to meet Yichen. She went there to confirm whether Yichen wanted to be with her or with his "sister", and as he said those words she assumed he wanted to date Yimei instead. I agree that if we look for a person to blame, it was Yichen. Mosheng was definitely innocent and she didn't want to leave the country, nor did she know she wouldn't be able to come back soon. Yichen, however, did not know this. And actually Yichen too blamed himself even more than he blamed Mosheng, this is more clear in the novel, but that's something that happens a lot with people: blaming themselves is so devastating that they start to look for ways to blame other people instead for their own mistakes. Sort of misplaced anger.

I don't remember the movie so well, but in the drama and in the novel he didn't specifically break up with her, he said: "don't come to look for me again, I wish I never met you". While this could be interpreted as breaking up and it's natural that Mosheng took it that way, to Yichen it was more venting anger about the situation, not something he had considered or thought would have such consequences. Imagine you are fighting with your spouse or partner and in that moment you are so angry you say you wish you never got together in the first place. Then the next day you wake up more calm, just to find your spouse has left the country, you can't contact them and they come back after seven years telling you they married someone else! Would you find it reasonable or would you maybe be just a little angry that they didn't stay and talk about it before leaving? However in the novel it actually says that after Mosheng had left Yichen was sad for a long time, but then when he kept dreaming about her calling her just to wake up without her, he gradually started to feel hatred.

I've read the manhwa and I think in that one Kang Taemu was even more like the ML in WWWSK. They toned him down a lot for the drama :D And also cut short some storylines. I agree that a couple of more eps would have been good (and I rarely say this).

In what aspect did you prefer the Korean one? I watched this first, and mostly liked it, though it was too long and partly draggy. Now I have started to watch She Was Pretty and after 3 eps I'm totally fed up with how the FL is acting completely lunatic. I don't remember the FL being that bad in this one. Should I continue with the Korean version if I liked the Chinese version?
