Isn't a step brother someone who is not blood related to you at all? So is Mr He not FL's father? If they have the same dad it should be sister/half-sister, but I saw the subtitles say step sister so I though he was changed or adopted or something.

So is He Ru Fei her real brother or not? I'm confused

I just started watching this today, because of the 8.7 score. Then I came back to see that both most voted reviews gave this 5.5! Wth happened?

They can't do that to people who already starred in BL works, right? I mean at least it should only affect those who do it after a new rule.

I wish they were, instead of being harassed and shamed :(

Can someone explain what use is the self-censoring they did for the latter half of the drama? I read they didn't have to as an international company, but did it to protect the actors. But is there any use because the first half already had all that same stuff? Will it actually help the actors, that the number of steamy scenes is less since those scenes are there anyway? Or did it just make them lose part of their hard work.

I'm on ep 11 and really enjoying this drama so far, but I'm afraid to continue after reading the comments that last ten eps are censored... It's so sad that they felt like they have to do it.

This, and I'll also add that before FL drank the medicine her made asked her if she has to do it this way, and she said that because she can't keep it anyway (doctor said she will miscarriage) she might as well do it like this. And when she later explained to the ML the literal translation would have been that it's not that she did not want the baby, it's that she couldn't keep it (again meaning the doctor's words). Later even the doctor himself mentioned it to the ML. So it was very clear the baby would not have survived anyway.

FL and ML think they are siblings but are already in love, not acting on it though. ML is a the son of the main wife and FL daughter of a concubine. The main wife treats FL super bad and tries to get her killed because she can see her son is in love with the FL. Later FL gets full on revenge mode and also finds out who her real parents are, so they are not related. FL plots and gets revenge, ML follows her complete in love, and sometimes they make out. There is also a side plot where a prince is trying to rebel and kill ML, who works for the crown prince. A lot of stuff happens and many people turn bad and our main couple suffer, but it's a happy ending.

ABO Desire is streaming now. I haven't watched it (I don't watch ongoing dramas) but the rating here on MDL is pretty good.

I think it's a censorship rule, because in all Chinese dramas the women cross-dressing always look 100 % like women, make-up and everything. In other countries like Taiwan they make it more convincing. So I think the censorship rules probably require it. Chinese censorship rules also state that they can't have feminine male characters, at least for a male lead.

Story worked out, but it was difficult to watch when the ML and some other cast members looked liked they had done too many plastic surgeries. I don't want to be offensive and I know it's a personal choice, but I can't help that seeing it makes me feel uneasy. If someone has seen multiple versions of this, can you recommend me one where the ML has a natural look?
