Both dramas have a very similar setting and vibe. The female lead is a journalist in both, while the two male leads are a prosecutor and a lawyer, who have gone to college together and have prejudice against each other. In both they have a magical way to know and change the future, which they try to use to solve cases and prevent deaths. The chemistry between the main leads is also similar, a bit goofy and heart-warming.

Zhao Lusi keeps starring these dramas where she is a modern girl appearing in an ancient, magical country. I think Tiger and Rose was much funnier but Love Better Than Immortality had better romance/main couple/male lead.

The story between the main leads is similar is so many ways that I can't write it here without spoiling. If you were moved by the main couple in one, you will like the main couple in the other too. The side characters and their relationships between each other and main leads are mostly different.

These two gave me similar vibes. Both are stories about two almost perfect people, no big drama, misunderstandings, difficult in-laws or permanently evil villains. Just a feel-good romance.

Both have a similar first half where a plant fairy, who does not understand what love is, makes a high ranked deity fall in love with herself. After that both series get more serious, but Ashes of Love gets a hundred times more serious and angst heavy, while Dear Herbal Lord stays quite light all the way through.

These two dramas are very similar. A modern woman goes into historical historical world. The characters and even the actress are the same! The male lead looks like someone they already met in modern world. It starts out as comedy, the FL can almost accidentally sail through all the troubles. It gets more serious towards the end. I enjoyed both as comedies but I preferred the ending in Tiger and Rose.
