I loved it and I really enjoyed it! <3 It made me full of emotions, I cried, laughed, was sad, angry, in pain, etc. I almost did not watch it because of the bad reviews; however, I loved it.
Ok, I do agree with some of the reviews and the rating of 9.1 on MDL is a bit high. Plus, the story is not perfect and is flawed, but like who isn't? It's made by humans so of course it's flawed. However, the most important thing is that I really enjoyed it <3 And it's a romance k-drama of course, it's full of cliches and exaggerated moments.
Now, what I did not like in this drama.
1. It would have been better if it was shorter, like it had many moments with fillers, like episode 12 was full of fillers and got draggy.
2. What got repetitive was the toilet / poop comedy, like it was overused a lot. It got too much.
3. The villain of the story, or the one tied with bad fate with Im Sol and Ryu Seon Jae, was just a villain. Like what was his back story? Like he was part of one of the main plots in this story and he was literally just a villain, just evil. Like whom was he? What happened to him? Why did he turn evil in the first place? I wish they had given him some backstory instead of being tied to the leads, with no reason whatsoever. Or there was a reason and I missed it, I do not know.
4. The time travel plot got too much, exaggerated and draggy at one point. They literally curved my heart out. It was too much for our poor leads, Im Sol and Ryu Seon Jae. Like what did they do to deserve this? Ok, I can't complain about this as I think that was the point of the drama, lol.
The rest of the drama I did enjoy it. I loved the cast, characters, acting, couples, family dynamics, romance, bromance, music, costumes, production, comedy and the painful parts. I mostly loved the time travel parts with the digital watch and the switching between the 2008, 2009 and 2023 timeline. That was the most interesting for me.
Overall, I loved it and enjoyed it. Of course, it's flawed but it was interesting. I love fantasy plots and with this one I'm satisfied <3 Plus, it's finally a happy ending for our leads after all they went through ^_^
I enjoyed this drama, but this story is flawed and not perfect with lots of things that do not make sense. However, I decided to see it as it is, especially since they made it into 8 episodes and did not drag it on. So, I like it as it is. Plus, I enjoyed the food scenes as well.
What I most loved about this drama and what got me to watch it was the main couple. I loved their chemistry, and their kiss scenes were great. I enjoyed the second lead couple as well.
Whether to watch or not. Since it's short it's great for a fast watch and great for those looking for good kiss scenes. If you are looking for a story, it's not bad but not the greatest either. So, it's up to you and enjoy it as it is :)
I enjoyed it overall; the plot was interesting and enjoyable. Transmigration plot or Isekai plot is one of my favorites and this one is quite good.
However, the ending felt rushed and somewhat unsatisfying. Ok, in a way I understand it had to end like that since it was a revenge plot, but still. I especially wanted Ji Wan Er and Gong Ye Qi to really have a happy ending. Their ending was cruel.
Even the ending of the Empress after all she had done was like for nothing. At least Lin Xi Yao and Ji Yun had a good ending since like they were the lead of the novel.
For our leads in the drama. They had a bad ending in the ancient times, but I'm glad Hua Qing Ge and Ji Chu reunited in the modern world. In a way, I wish they showed they that showed all 7 of them in the modern world, with Ji Feng included. He did not deserve it either.
Anyway, I enjoyed the drama, nonetheless. I also liked the cast, characters, acting, costumes, background, production and music. I recommend this drama :)
I enjoyed this drama, it was enjoyable and cute <3 It was also interesting to see it was about makeup, so it's different from the usual office Japanese dramas. I loved the chemistry between the leads as well ^_^
Although I like short dramas and straight to the point ones, this drama feels like it had more to tell. I wish it was a bit longer and maybe explored other characters. Or maybe included a second lead couple.
Just for curosity. Is this drama the Taiwanese adaptation of Addicted, the Chinese drama please? As the story sounds similar, but at the same time it's like a different story. Thank you.
Beautiful! I loved it from the beginning till the end!
I initially wanted to watch this drama because I stumbled upon the songs on YouTube, and thought this drama is a musical and probably just had good songs. But I was wrong and discovered a jem with a touching story.
The story was so beautiful! It made me sad, angry, happy, angry, cry, in pain, touched, laugh, scared, wanted to hit some characters, etc. It made me feel all kinds of emotions. The 1st episode made an impact on me, and shocked me with child abuse. It shocked me more when Seo Mok Ha ended up stranded on an island. Like how more unfortunate can she get?
But, even with all the pain they went through, Seo Mok Ha, Lee Ki-Ho, aka Jung Ki-H, aka Kang Bo Geol and his family finally got their happy ending that they deserved ^_^ And the villain got what he deserved.
Moreover, I loved the cast, characters, acting, the sismance, the brothers, the family, romance, music, costumes, background, the places and the overall production.
Finished in 2 days! I really enjoyed this drama! I've been waiting for a proper Chinese BL drama for a long time and we've finally had one! I thank the Thai production (whoever they are) for investing and producing one.
Honestly, the story is not perfect, especially the beginning of the drama, it was a bit confusing. Especially since lots of names where mentioned. I did catch some of it, but I'm bad at remembering names, so I got confused at times. The story does have flaws and some things that were mentioned were left hanging in the air or were not mentioned again. However, I still enjoyed the story.
For the leads, they were cute together and they had a happy ending after all the pain and torture they went through. But their relationship was and is toxic. There were lots of moments that I did not like at all, especially when Zong Zheng Huai En forced himself on Jin Xiao Bao.
We did not particularly see but Zong Zheng Huai En raped Jin Xiao Bao at least 2 times and was violent with him. Ok, Jin Xiao Bao did not feel that the first time, but he did not like it the second time, and he did cry about it.
I can say that their relationship works because they are both obsessed with each other or call it love. But whatever, I will not get into it. After all the pain they went through, I'll leave it as I said about them in the first sentence. They went through a lot.
Moreover, I liked the cast, characters, acting, music and the production overall. The costumes were nice, and the locations were beautiful.
Some complaints. For the makeup, for some actors it was too heavy and too much. For the wigs, some of them wasn't hid well. But not bad overall.
To conclude, I really enjoyed this drama, and I hope they get to make others. I will look forward to them! ^_^ I recommend this one :)
Overall, I enjoyed this drama, it was not bad. Although it had moments where it got too political, I lost some interest and fast forward some scenes. However, it was light overall, with hilarious moments. Plus, we got a happy ending for our leads in modern times as it was too sad in the ancient times.
I enjoyed the story, cast, characters and acting. I loved all the couples and the chemistry between the couples were cute (the leads were so cute and adorable!) Moreover, I liked the costumes, background, music and the overall production.
Comparing it to the Korean drama, I still prefer the Korean version. However, the Chinese version is a good adaptation, it's just that they dragged it on. It's great for a light quick watch though, I did enjoy it :)
Finished! I loved it from the beginning till the end! It took me a year to watch this drama and I'm glad I finally did ^_^ I did not read the webtoon yet, so my opinion is on the drama.
Honestly, what I really loved in this drama was the lifetime’s plot. I really got invested in it, so I made a list of what Ban Ji Eum was in her other past 18 lifetimes :D Unfortunately, we did not get to see all about these lifetimes and some of them we barely got to know about.
However, I do get that the 1st lifetime was important since that started it all of her remembering all her lifetimes. Also, I get the 17th and 18th lifetimes tied it all up to her current 19th life.
It was interesting, sad and painful to see that Ban Ji Eum (was Su in her 1st life) cursed herself to remember so to get revenge. Then, to realise after 1000 years passed that she went through a lot of more pain of losing loved ones. She kept remembering them in her other lifetimes and could not express her pain and grief to anyone. She had to learn to hide her pain through her smiles.
Like what Han-ya (Moon Seo Ha's 1st life) said 'Do not pay blood with more blood'. This is a good message that revenge hurts you more than it hurts anyone else. I do get it, some things happen in life that make you want to get revenge, but it gives you more scars. Ok, I'll stop here before I get more philosophical.
Honestly, this lifetime’s plot is so serious that it could easily have turned into a melodrama. I do get why they made the hotel plot, it had comedy moments, so they could lighten the story.
A change of subject. Although, I wanted to see more about her past lifetimes, it was only 12 episodes, and they could not get into many details. However, I'm glad that the drama did not drag on so much. They showed us what was essential and then tied it all up at the end of the drama.
Like Ban Ji Eum's 19th life started with her meeting Moon Seo Ha at the hotel, she forgot about all her other lifetimes, and officially these two met again at the hotel (ok they met at the restaurant, but it was just a moment). Plus, met all her other loved ones as well.
Although I did love this drama, I get that it was not perfect. The plot was obvious. At least I can say that I guessed what would happen, etc, especially the hotel plot. I can say that I guessed it all.
However, I really enjoyed it and that's what matters after all ^_^ For the rest of the drama, I enjoyed the cast, acting, characters, costumes, the lifetimes plot, the story, the production and the music ^_^ For the leads, they were cute and nice together. I did not feel a huge chemistry together, but honestly, I did not care that much. I was more invested in the lifetimes plot anyway ;D
Up to you whether to watch this drama or not. It depends on your tastes, what you are looking for and where you are in your life and enjoy it xxxx
Finished! I really enjoyed this drama! It was interesting :D I loved how we got to see reality (in this case 2029) and the AR game world called Pangu at the same time.
It's the first time I saw a drama or anything else like this (like comics, webtoons, anime, etc). It's usually one gets stuck in a game, in a novel, in a comic, is reincarnated, time travelled, etc. Then, at the end, they show us reality again, or everything goes back to what it used to be, or a character decides to stay where they are. Then vice versa, we see a fictional character going out to reality and maybe stays or goes back, etc.
It's quite original, I loved that. I enjoyed that the viewers (us) had to be alert and notice what's going on in the story. Like for example, when Ye Tian was borrowing Bai Wei's body. You must notice little details of how they are acting, in order for you to realise who is who. Honestly, the actors were great, so it's thanks to them that you notice.
Overall, I really enjoyed this drama. However, I wish they made it less draggy and removed all the usual cliches and fillers. Like the amnesia troupe was extra (I hate this troupe), at least it did not drag on. And many more, where I fast forwarded some scenes.
However, I loved that they made it into a happy ending. This complicated plot could easily lead to a tragedy. Yes, ok there were characters who died, but overall, many survived and those who did evil deeds got what they deserved or redeemed themselves.
For the ending, Lin Feng appears stuck in the game. I liked that they did not totally kill him off and we can assume that Ye Tian would do everything to get him out. You can see it as an open ending, but I'm seeing it as the ending. I can't imagine this drama with another season. It would get too draggy.
Anyway, I'm glad I finally watched this drama. It took me 2 years to do so, but I'm glad I finally did ^_^
Also, this drama had a great cast, characters, loved the couples, loved the story (although it did get draggy), the production, acting, filming. music, costumes and the CGI were not bad. I recommend it to anyone who loves these types of stories :)
Loved it! It was so cute and adorable with lots of hilarious moments! <3 As someone said below, it was the most adorable misunderstanding in a BL drama. The whole eraser misunderstanding cracked me up :D What I loved as well was that the misunderstanding was quickly cleared and there were no draggy moments as well.
Despite there being no kiss scenes and the leads only had a few moments where they held hands or hugged, I really enjoyed this drama! The leads had great chemistry together, they were so cute! <3
Honestly, I did not expect it to be one, as the fact that it was school based, it was a short and a light drama. Plus, Japanese dramas that are on the lighter side tend not to show anything whether it has a LGBTQ+ couple or straight couple dramas, so I kind of expected it.
However, I was not disappointed at all, I really enjoyed and loved this drama. Watch this one! :D
Btw, I loved all the other cast, characters and the acting were great as well!
Btw as well, I enjoyed watching a teacher (or a student teacher) admit that he was wrong, that every person is different and should never judge another person for being different.
Finished! I really enjoyed this drama! It was cute, light, a nice and cosy drama.
Honestly, the story is quite normal, with cheesy and funny moments. Plus, the fact that the leads were a doctor, and a boxer was quite original, so for me that was something new.
The start of the drama was quite fast, I really loved the first 4 episodes. But, from then on, I knew that it would slow down. I mean in the term of the relationship between the leads.
At one point, the story for me, it got a bit draggy and frustrating, as it was clear that Wandee and Yoryak passed the point of being in a fake relationship and they felt more. They weren't friends, but not quite lovers. Like there was a wall before they could go there. Plus, Yoryak gave Wandee his necklace from the beginning. Like if that does not represent a relationship, I do not know what does.
It got more frustrating when Yoryak finally realized his feeling and he clearly wanted to be in a real relationship and Wandee wanted to take his time. I'm like what the heck are you waiting for!!?
Anyway, we got the happy ending we wanted for the leads to be together, and they also worked hard for their dreams and got them as well :D Yoryak became a boxing champion and Wandee won the scholarship :D
What I wanted to leave for last was that the acting and chemistry of the leads was great and excellent. Plus, I loved their kiss scenes! <3
I can say that this drama and story worked well for 12 episodes thanks to them. Like the whole plot was basically around them.
Ok, we saw the medical side, we saw the boxing side, we saw their families, side couples, other characters, trauma, etc. But how this drama was with romance being the main plot, I believe it was thanks to the leads that it worked well.
Like I have seen similar dramas like these before, and if either the acting or chemistry between the leads wasn't good, I wouldn't like it that much.
These 2 actors were great together, plus they are good actors. I saw them in other dramas before and I knew they were good. But I did not know if they would have good chemistry together and I'm glad they did :D I would love to see them in another good drama together ^_^
Anyway, my conclusion is that I recommend this drama. If you're looking for a BL romance drama, this one is the right one for you :D
I enjoyed this one, it was nice to watch. The story, the acting and the chemistry between the leads was good. Plus, their kiss scenes were awesome <3
For the ending, it was a bit confusing or maybe open to interpretation. Like was she acting in a drama all along? Or was it that the rewards she got after finishing the comic / game was being a main actress in a drama? But whether Shen Shiyi came to the real world in the drama or in the real world is a mystery.
Anyway, for me it's a happy ending, where she reunited with Shen Shiyi in the real world.
Ok, I do agree with some of the reviews and the rating of 9.1 on MDL is a bit high. Plus, the story is not perfect and is flawed, but like who isn't? It's made by humans so of course it's flawed. It was not bad, as I got the message, but not that great.
The worst were the fight scenes. They were draggy with lots of slow motion. Then they rushed to the ending. Like even the villain died quickly.
It would have been more interesting if Mulan ended up with the Princess.
Anyway, if you're like me watching all Mulan adaptation, then go ahead and watch it. But if not, you can skip this movie.
I initially wanted to watch this drama because I stumbled upon the songs on YouTube, and thought this drama is a musical and probably just had good songs. But I was wrong and discovered a jem with a touching story.
