Perfect. Everything you could ever want in a drama.

This is on par with the directors cut of Goodbye My Princess for the best show I have ever seen. It has everything from breathtaking scenery and sets, jaw dropping special effects, gorgeous costumes, intense action sequences, nail-biting suspense, both wonderfully sweet and bitterly heartbreaking moments, romance that is cute & funny but also hot & steamy, complex characters who each have their own struggles yet are all important to the plot, deeply thought provoking concepts, flawless acting, a detailed screenplay written with care and precision, top-notch direction and camera work, an epic soundtrack, and masterful story writing. It's absolutely perfect.

I cannot even describe how much I enjoyed watching this. I cried buckets of tears, sobbing one moment and screaming for joy the next, but ultimately leaving me with a good feeling. I don't care what else is on your watchlist, watch this RIGHT NOW. You won't regret it I promise.

I don't often write reviews but as soon as I finished Goodbye My Princess I knew I had to write something about it.

I lost count of how many dramas I've seen a long time ago, but none of them destroyed me emotionally quite like this one. I cried endlessly throughout and finished the last episode uncontrollably sobbing. At first I was enchanted by the gorgeous scenery, the lavish sets, the intricate outfits, the marvelous cinematography, the moving OSTs, the grand and epic scale of the story and the world it was set in, and especially Xiao Feng. I fell hopelessly in love with her. My whole heart was captured and then mercilessly shattered into a million pieces. This tragic story has been etched into my mind and heart so deeply I wonder if I could ever forget it.

Now that I've finished it I almost feel traumatized... devastated certainly. If only I could find that river of oblivion so I could forget this sorrow and remedy my aching heart. But knowing me I would just use it as an opportunity to experience it for the first time all over again.

I really have to thank Peng Xiao Ran for an unforgettably captivating and magical performance, Chen Xing Xu for flawlessly executing a complex role with such dynamic presence, and also the director and the rest of the cast and team who brought this drama to life in a really big way.

I already know I'm going to have a really difficult time moving on from this. Nevertheless I highly recommend watching this drama. It's an unforgettable experience.

P.S. I haven't seen the original version but I can't imagine missing out on a single scene of this director's cut. Watch this version if you can.

Strong and Lovable FL

Giving it a 9.5 for my girl Yuan Bingyan because she was brilliant in this. It wasn't perfect, but Shu Jingrong's story really touched my heart and made me feel for her. She was such a strong and lovable character who always did what she thought was right regardless of what everyone else thought, yet she had more compassion than anyone despite her own tragic life.

The production was pretty nice with plenty of beautiful scenery and camera shots, lavish sets, pretty costumes, and just the way everything came together to create a unique and memorable mood and setting for the show. I don't really have much else to say besides the fact that I enjoyed this drama because of Yuan Bingyan and her character Shu Jingrong. Looking forward to seeing her in more main roles in the future ❤️

Beautiful, Magical, Touching

A really really beautiful story. I laughed, I smiled, I cried, and I was enchanted by this magical and mysterious world. But more than anything I was moved by Dong Hua and Feng Jiu's powerful and enduring love that was able to overcome fate and brought them together across three different lives. Everything was perfect. Gao Weiguang and Dilraba Dilmurat's performances were spectacular. I absolutely adore these two.

One thing that particularly impressed me is the backdrops. Every scene was like a painting. Compared to other dramas like this the effects were done exceptionally well. I highly recommend watching this. You won't be disappointed!
