I hate those Li siblings - their false, selifsh importance is just repulsive. I know they were put in that situation but Li Mao really has nothing going for him and they are both very manipulative - especially the sister and that too in a dumb way - which is so dangerous. They are stupid and in the palace that makes them dangerous

Yep I also question her ‘feelings’ for Li Mao. I think he was more like a comfort zone. It was very clear early on that her feelings for Wuyi were growing little by little - it started with admiration and then caring and worrying. But given how young and inexperienced she is - she was confused for the longest time- even though she called it ‘friendship’ it was very clear that it was way more than that
I am really digging this drama. The ML and FL re both written very well and the story is very engaging. This is the second drama of the ML that I have enjoyed after Love in the Clouds. The new FL actress has a promising future and her role is both interesting and funny.
Their relationship had already peaked before the series started. So they aren't establishing anything new. Chen…
Exactly they did not really have to show a ‘status’ Per se. It was vey obvious that they loved each other . Chen Yi was the one holding back- he felt he was not worthy and did not deserve it. That is why MJ had to take an aggressive, somewhat manipulative approach which included using her ex to get him back. She really had to test her importance in his life and find out how much he wanted her. It was well done actually even though we hate Miao Jing at certain points .
I cant help but notice this has been consistently reoccuring???? they create new accounts, drop bad reviews then…
Yes there are a group of fans hovering on all these really good drama forums and just keep down rating his dramas. Awful lot of toxicity for sure . Especially since he is such a talented actor
you would hate the novel this is based on lmao in the novel she doesnt even kinda fall for him till like chp 400…
Sure the guy accepts her as she is. Well then she can accept him too. Just because he was more than a sickly frail man she decided not to. She is a hypocrite and too self serving.
You're awfully hard on her. She's going to marry him because he's dying but don't you think it's a monumental…
She is a self righteous opportunist. When it is a woman we have to accept whatever they give us without saying a word. And I am not even talking about romance either or reciprocation of feelings . You can go back and read my comment.
Well she could have called off the engagement. He never stopped her. She may not have feelings for him but she…
If she had a problem with his behavior she should have backed out for good. She did not even have the guts to tell her father or the emperor that she wanted to break it off . They had given her full freedom to do it . But she did not . Why did she not do it? Because she was still thinking about her self and the advantages and disadvantages of breaking it off. Is she any less manipulative than the crown prince ? If anything she is way more dangerous than the crown prince. So don’t give me that .i don’t think him being a dying man was an issue with her because that was the primary reason she agreed to marry him. It was all her own selfish reasons. There was nothing there about what he wanted - not that he asked anything of her . Is that even a respectful relationship between two people? He was just giving her and she was taking while lamely rejecting him. What the hell is this? As to whether I would marry a dying man - I don’t know- never faced a situation like that 😂😂- and not something I can think about hypothetically . But probably not for selfish reasons like the FL in this drama. This goes beyond my moral compass😂😂😂

You could look at it that way but all her behavior says otherwise so far . As for your challenge - if I agreed to marry someone I would go through with it rather than flip flopping . She could not even follow through with it. Then what? She agrees to marry him when he declares he has one year to live? Tell me how great that logic is. I am still puzzled as to why she went through with it after resisting it for so long. It just shows that she is an opportunist . There is nothing generous here . It is plain barter - he is giving her what she wants in that limited time he has- she weighed the pros and cons and said yes. Nothing commendable or gracious about it .
Well she could have called off the engagement. He never stopped her. She may not have feelings for him but she…
The thing is he knew what he was getting into- still she waited till the last minute even to marry him. She did not even have the decency to follow through with that too. She could have been happy that he was way more than just a frail sick guy and appreciated it because she would have benefited from it. But her behavior has been atrocious so far.
Yeah. Regarding the last sentence, some of the comments on this drama and "Love for You" were... not encouraging,…
I actually loved the FL in Love for you and she is very different from this portrayal of an ‘empowered woman’ . There the FL had many qualities of an empowered woman. Not so much here .
Some of you need to uderstand that no one is obligated to reciprocate feelings simply because the other person…
Well she could have called off the engagement. He never stopped her. She may not have feelings for him but she openly declared that she wanted to marry him after making the pact and the emperor gave his decree. But she went back on her word. That was bad. I am not defending an inanimate object who can’t even keep a promise or follow through with something it wanted . He had even backed off BUT SHE WANTED TO MARRY HIM . it was clear he knew what he was getting into from the beginning. In spite of that she did not follow through - that was what bothered me I am against patriarchy and am all for female empowerment but this goes down to human behavior . And to support this kind of behavior is not feminism.
