She is just a very flaky person

The reason she is pursuing him- it’s basically for revenge I.e. her ex BF cheated on her with the ML’s so called niece . This was her assumption just from seeing that car in the hospital. He came to know all of that

Yes I noticed that too- she never confides in the FL- only makes generalized sweeping statements about men and relationships

But that is the point - not every character needs to be good- it’s ok that they have shades we don’t like. The FL is full of red flags- that is her character and we are all waiting to see how she changes through this experience
