This is an interesting drama the way it is unfolding. It is very hard to develop a liking to any of the characters in this drama because every single one has their own agenda but having said that I am enjoying it

Yes her character in SOKP is very selfish, manipulative and morally ambiguous. It’s a fully dark character . It has a totally different feel - she borders on evil there. I am enjoying it -sure but the difference is chalk and cheese

BTW Bai Lu has such a morally ambiguous character in SOKP- LOL and people loved that? Amazing

I don’t watch dramas for steamy scenes- if they are a part of the story fine, if they were added just because the drama has no substance- then it’s a big no no for me. OFL with its not so perfect characterizations was very interesting. It was the story that captured me - not those steamy scenes. But the characters all felt so real and there was a lot of comedy even with some of the steamy scenes that it made me laugh. This is definitely not for teens or those in their early 20s who have a very bland pure view of love. 30 and above maybe

You know if you think about it there are a lot of us who own up to our mistakes - that definitely is very real. Plus it was also Shi Yan’s character that made it even more difficult. And yes she knew she was wrong for sure but did not know how to convince him

Unchained love was good and yes the characters were multidimentional. For someone who is so young at 24 Dylan Wang is a good actor

Exactly . I did not want to do the same thing that she is doing. Harassment and stalking is not romance- nor is it love. Only people who have experienced it know how painful and disturbing it is. Real love and real relationships do not include harassment or stalking. The person above is definitely oblivious to any of this.

Thank you for clarifying. There is nothing beautiful or normal about stalking no matter what your intention is. Even if you are in love with that person and especially because of that it is a very scary thing to do. So please don’t romanticize stalking

I fell asleep in front of the screen- that is how bad this was. Absolutely nothing to keep you going

On another note I figured out I like this one better than SOKP. I will finish that one but I liked Bai Lu’s character better here

Yeah the focus on the latter that you mention kind of irritates me- who rates dramas based on that? Or books or anything for that matter ? I’d everything depended on how hot and heavy something was then porn would be doing great LOL

Some people are focused on only the raunchy content and don’t want anything else. This story is more for a mature audience because the characters are not simple at all

You must have heard the saying- Good and evil are 2 sides of the same coin. If you dig deeper you will always find that even the most evil characters will have a valid reason for what they do. That is why I find flawed, grey layers characters very fascinating. If I remember right Maleficent is the same- she tries to protect her people - she is a fairy in the beginning but then becomes much darker . When we are young we never understand this and I mean even as young adult. Only after some maturity you start appreciating them more and also start analyzing and questioning them. I have always gravitated towards books, movies and dramas that have this quality. I don’t enjoy simplicity

Fairy tales according to me don’t exist - those stories if you go deeper are sad sick stories they just got simplified for little kids. Btw Maleficent is one of my favorite ‘fairy tale’ characters

Yes for sure! This drama portrays a very unhealthy relationship and trying to normalize it. Some things should not be ignored. This drama is not a good example to show young people
